Blake Strustek is a character in The Perfectionists book series. He is Claire Coldwell's boyfriend, Mackenzie Wright's best-friend and crush, and the leader of his own band.

Blake is described as a strikingly handsome teenager with bright, long-lashed blue eyes, wide, curving lips, and his thick, shaggy hair.
Biography[]
Blake was childhood friends with Mackenzie Wright (Book Character), and the two were always close. However, Mac always had romantic feelings for him that he was unaware of. He later met Claire Coldwell and kissed her while they were at Disneyland, and started a romantic relationship soon after. His sister, Marion, opened Cupcake Kingdom a few years prior to "The Perfectionists", and he started working there to help her out. In Junior year, he founded his band Black Lodge, which included his friends Dave, Javier, Warren, and Mackenzie.

Claire and Blake had been loose friends through their mutual friend, Mackenzie Wright. However, Claire had feelings for Blake but originally ignored them as she knew that Mac had feelings for Blake. During the pairs trip to Disneyland, Blake kissed her, but she told him that she needed to think about it. She asked Mac if she minded if she dated Blake, and Mac lied and said that it was fine. The two then began a romantic relationship, and as of "The Perfectionists" they have been dating for over a year. At Nolan's party, Blake and Claire are swimming when Blake wraps his arms around her and twirls her around. Claire jokingly tells him to watch her fingers since they're her ticket to Julliard, which makes Blake roll his eyes. Later, he kisses Mackenzie when the pair are alone practicing for their band. When Claire calls and interrupts the kiss, Blake answers and pretends like everything is fine.
Mackenzie and Blake had been best-friends since they were children. However, Mackenzie had a hidden crush on Blake and loved him as more then a friend, even though Blake started dating her best-friend Claire. Mac has been a member of Blake's band since Junior year, and the two often practice with the rest of the band. In "The Perfectionists", they spend time together just the two of them for the first time since Blake started dating Claire. After practice, Blake tells Mac that she shouldn't hide who she is and removes her glasses, telling her that she is beautiful. He then kisses her, which Mac describes as feeling, "right". The kiss is interrupted by Claire calling Blake, and while he is on the phone Mac reveals that, "she had kissed her best-friends boyfriend. And she liked it."
