Season 1[]
Careful What U Wish 4[]
He came to fix Emily Fields's phone so that she could call Maya St. Germain at her reform school. He could tell Emily is desperate, so he charges her an extra 40 bucks for a rush job. Hanna and Emily pick up her phone, and Caleb cryptically tells Hanna that while he may not know much about her, she doesn't know much about herself either.
If At First You Don't Succeed, Lie, Lie Again[]
In detention, Hanna finds the company is none other than Caleb. While joking around with her, Caleb learns that Hanna is trying to prevent Ella from driving Philadelphia. He uses his phone to stage that his social worker has dismissed him from detention. The next day, Caleb gives Hanna a piece from Ella Montgomery's car, which he had removed the day before. When Hanna finds him, she is pleased but isn't outwardly grateful. She does offer him money, but Caleb says he wants something else; he doesn't know what yet, but he'll think about it.
Je Suis une Amie[]
Caleb has come up with an idea for what he would like Hanna to do to repay him: date him in order to up his credibility at school. Eventually, Aria and Hanna realize that their pursuer is Caleb, who has been sleeping at the school, having been abandoned by both his biological and foster parents. The next day in the hallways, Hanna expresses her concern over Caleb living in the school. He brushes off her sympathy, and Hanna introduces him to Bridget Wu in exchange for Caleb listing all the places that he previously lived in. The two continue this banter, exchanging names for information, and their friendship grows and moves in with Hanna.
The New Normal[]
He starts living in Hanna's basement without Ashley's knowledge. Caleb "comes over" through the front door, surprising Hanna and disconcerting Mrs. Marin, who immediately forms a negative opinion of her daughter's new friend. Caleb takes the liberty of opening the door and greeting "James Leland". Hanna and Caleb are immediately suspicious of James, though for different reasons. Caleb claims architects don't use crappy pens, which Mr. Leland uses to sign some form that Ashley presents him for the bank. Hanna doesn't get good vibes, as she thinks the guy to be too smooth. He put it together that the guy was an imposter. Hanna thanks Caleb for his help that day and he retires back to the basement.
The Badass Seed[]
Hanna walks into the bathroom to grab her mascara while Caleb is showering. Then, Ashley knocks on the bathroom door, asking Hanna if her phone was there. Ashley opens the bathroom door, prompting Hanna to jump in the shower fully clothed so that her mother won't realize it is Caleb showering, not Hanna. She holds her hand over his mouth so he won't make noise and she makes this awkward situation even worse when he catches her sneaking a peek when he turns around. After that incident, Caleb is being bushed off by Hanna as much as possible. Thinking that she didn't want him in her house anymore, he prepares to leave. Hanna reluctantly tells the truth and Caleb is tender towards this. Touched, Hanna kisses him, which escalates into a full-on make out. Thus, the two of them begin to secretly date. Spencer later enlists his help to crack Jenna's phone for any secret messages she‘s been sending.
A Person of Interest[]
Hanna and Caleb come home from school and start kissing passionately. They make their way to the kitchen, where Ashley confronts them. She asks Caleb to leave, but Hanna protests that he just arrived. Ashley knows about Caleb hiding in the basement. Ashley evicts Caleb from her home just as he and Hanna were starting to become romantically involved. Caleb leaves, and Hanna follows slamming the door behind them. Two camp out in the woods for the night and they have sex. The next say, Caleb comes over for dinner where Ashley decides to let him stay in their guest bedroom. He steps outside to make a phone call. Caleb his caller know that he is no longer willing to assist them.
Someone to Watch Over Me[]
At school, Caleb is mysteriously speaking on the phone with someone, telling this person that something cannot happen that night. He keeps referring to "her," and it becomes clear after he mentions that he is living in her house that he means Hanna. It's revealed that Caleb was hired by Jenna Marshall to spy on Hanna. Hanna is furious and hashes out on Caleb when she returns home from school. He replied he never meant to hurt her, adding the fact he told Jenna that he couldn't help her anymore once things between him and Hanna started happening. She is not satisfied with this his explanation, and makes him leave.
Monsters in the End[]
Caleb is sitting reading an outdoor bench. Hanna sits with I'm and asks why he was working for her. Caleb reveals that Jenna was looking for a key, though Hanna has no clue why or for what reason. Caleb explains that it was related to Alison. Caleb then asks Hanna a few questions regarding "the Jenna Thing". But, she retorts saying that she gets to ask the questions. After Hanna exhausts everything that Caleb knows she leaves. In the evening, Caleb tries to give Hanna a special goodbye letter before leaving Rosewood for Arizona, explaining his feelings for her and of course, apologizing. After not finding Hanna at home, he gives it to Mona Vanderwaal so Hanna could get. Later, Caleb boards the bus out of Rosewood.
For Whom the Bell Tolls[]
Caleb is riding back to Rosewood with Lucas Gottesman who wants to bring him back to make Hanna happy. Meanwhile, Hanna deletes Caleb from her phone's contacts and sheds a few more tears.
