Pretty Little Liars Wiki

This whole time, I've been trying to prove myself. Prove that I belong, that I'm tough enough, strong enough. But her advice to me last night was so clear, Greg. I don't have to prove myself to anyone. There's a reason I spent this year getting so strong and it wasn't to babysit you yahoos at the pool. It was to be strong for my girls.

Biography[]

Faran is the only child of paralegal Corey Bryant and steel mill worker Zeke Bryant. Corey and Zeke divorced, with Corey moving to Pittsburgh to continue her legal career. Throughout Faran's life, she's dealt with chronic pain, having scoliosis. Faran was always academically outstanding, being an flawless ballerina and a straight-A student.[1]

Personality[]

Faran was raised to be a prima ballerina, with perfection, skill, dedication, and perseverance drilled into her from childhood. She knew to practice daily and never complain, only improve herself if she wanted to be the best. She developed a rigid personality that didn't bendm much for fun. Her mother's need for perfection caused her to take Faran to a doctor for a scoliosis diagnosis. Even though surgery was harmful, Corey couldn't accept imperfection in her daughter and forced her to have the surgery under false pretenses of it being needed. As a result, Faran developed chronic pain, but was never encouraged to voice her discomfort, for when she did, her mother would brush it off. Faran was taught to be ashamed of her scars, her natural hair, and everything that made her "different" from her Millwood peers. She became closed off and untrusting, with a dry sardonic wit her personality. She has no time for petty grievances and tires quickly of drama. She wasn't quick to open up to the other Liars, but in the drama and thrill of it all, she finds that the other Liars are the people that she has to lean on. After seeking treatment for her pain, Faran is forced to stop dancing. This forced distance from the thing she once loved makes her realize she didn't love it, but rather, it was the only thing she knew. She began to understand the trauma it left her with and decided to step away from dancing. Faran loved her PT and expanded her exercises to become a strong, independent woman who can stand up for herself. She found new interests in boxing, self-defense, lifeguarding, and fed her competitive nature by beating misogynistic boys in physical sports.

Physical Appearance[]

Faran has straight black hair that is usually seen in a bun, due to her being a ballerina. She had big rich nut-brown eyes. She has a chiseled and oval face structure and heart full lips. She is usually seen wearing a some sort of leotards or outside of ballet, something casual and comfortable.

Romances[]

SS-204 SC (84)

Henry Nelson - (Fenry) Henry and Faran met during ballet class at Millwood High. They were partnered together on more than one occasion. Faran developed feelings for him and invited him to Imogen's Halloween party, where they kissed for the first time. This began their relationship, with her confiding in him about her scoliosis pain. He told Madame Giry about her diagnosis after seeing how much pain she was in, which she ultimately understood his reasoning's for. She was forced to stop dancing and he supported her, though they still bumped heads about trust and support. They were together for over six months, though she lied to him about not having the all-clear to dance again. He struggled to overcome the lie and turned to Our Mother of Holy Grace for support. The church group was actually a cult, and when Faran found out the truth about what was going on behind those stained glass doors, she ended things with him for good.

SS-207 Myrant Kiss

Greg Mantzoukas - (Myrant) A classic enemies to lovers tale, Faran initially couldn't tolerate Greg as he was an extension of the popular and cruel Karen Beasley. He was misogynistic, sexist, and ran with a group of jocks that thought casual racism was funny. Faran accepted him as Kelly's boyfriend and an extended member of her friend circle after he tried to save them from The Trial, even being pleasant with him in public. Things began to change over the summer of 2023, when Faran became buff and competitive against the boys in her class. Greg went toe-to-toe with her and they had sharp banter. It was understood they didn't like each other very much, with Faran even punching Greg when he dissed her than-boyfriend. Despite their problems, Greg grew to respect Faran position as lifeguard captain, even helping her get back at a negligent and sexist Stringbean. They had some flirtatious moments. He admitted in a Kairos session of Our Mother of Holy Grace that he only gave Faran shit because he had a crush on her, seeing her as beautiful and someone to admire. He didn't realize how juvenile that was until now. When Faran saw his involvement in Redemption House, she lashed out by asking if he really believed all of this or was just doing it for Kelly. Her words got through to Greg, who realized his harmful actions and quit the play, which meant a lot to Faran. He helps her and her friends raid Redemption House, then visits her after to make sure she's okay. They kissed for the first time and went on a date soon after.

The Little Liars[]

Tabby Haworthe - (Taran) Tabby and Faran became friends through the turmoil's they faced at the hands of A. They also bonded over their experiences with racism, specifically at Millwood High School. When Faran decided to wear her natural hair in an effort to reclaim her identity, Tabby praised her friend and supported her decision. They often align on subjects - like not summoning Bloody Rose - and have their own friendship outside of the girls. Faran fiercly cares of Tabby and offers to be her personal on-call body guard during their Final Girl Tests.

SS 201 Kelly-Faran Still

Kelly Beasley - (Farelly) Besides from being classmates in aside to having dance classes together, they weren’t really friends, with Faran declining to go the twins party. Faran started to suspect that Kelly was really Karen after noticing her different behavior the surviving twin was exhibiting. However, when she confronted her with these suspicious, Kelly went and told Madame Giry that Faran was harassing her and even dropped out of ballet to not be around Faran. However, this all got cleared up when Faran learned that it was really Kelly she was dealing with, not Karen, paving the way for Kelly to become the sixth liar in her friend’s group. After the Millwood Massacre, Kelly isolated herself from her friends despite Faran's best efforts to contact her. Kelly joined Our Mother of Holy Grace and Faran was happy that her friend was doing better, but began to see red flags in the church. She realized Kelly was in a cult and tried to help her to no avail. After Kelly participated in the twisted Redemption House production, Faran and the other Liars cut her off. However, Faran honored their friendship to warn Kelly about Bloody Rose, ultimately meeting her at the pool when Kelly believed her mother to be the killer.
