Season 6[]
Game On, Charles[]
Mona comments that there is no way out. Aria adds that she's not going back inside the building, however that option is cut off as the door closes and locks. Hanna looks at the security camera and says "You may be a dude, but you're still a bitch". Spencer tells the girls that she felt a connection with Charles while he was in a room with her, the type of connection you have with someone you used to know when you were younger but lost connection with. Hanna asks her if she's trying to say that she knows Charles a little now, but used to know him a lot. Spencer tells Hanna she doesn't understand the connection she felt with him, she just felt it.
The girls try to figure out where they are and Hanna facetiously comments that they could be in the Amazon. Spencer corrects her that they are in the northern hemisphere because the moon is waning. Hanna tells Spencer she was being sarcastic. The weather changes and it starts to rain, they hear thunder and see lighting and Emily says that the fence is basically a giant lightning rod. Hanna looks at the camera and asks "You gonna let us fry out here?" thunder and lightning crash loudly together and the girls become scared and huddle together.
A few days have passed and the girls talk about how long it takes to die without food or water. Spencer and Mona tell them that humans can last without food for three weeks but water is urgent and you die quicker without it. Mona tells them that they'll know when they're dying when they're not hungry or thirsty anymore because it means their organs are shutting down. Aria states that her organs are fine because she's considering drinking her own urine. The girls humorously comment what they would consume out of desperation.
A few more days pass and the door opens, waking the girls up. A PA tells them to follow the pathway back into the building. Aria states that she is afraid to go back inside but is also afraid to stay outside. Hanna tells Mona to decide what they should do as Mona has been trapped in the building for longer than them and has worked out a few things. Mona tells them that starving them outside was the punishment and A is allowing them back inside again. They go back inside together but A comes and throws smoke and takes Mona, the girls yell for Mona as they watch her be taken away by A. They breathe in the smoke and pass out.
The girls begin to wake up under white sheets styled as if they were in a morgue and dead. Emily checks her body and is relieved that A didn't harvest their organs, Hanna tells Emily that they would be dead if A did. Emily informs Hanna that humans only need one kidney to live. Spencer tells the girls that they may be styled as if they were dead to send a physical message to their families, Emily adds "So they'd stop looking for us". Mona comes in and greets them with food, she pretends she is Alison and admits to the girls that she is scared.
The PA tells the girls to return to their rooms for their surprises but as Mona is with the girls again she attempts to fight back and stand up against A, however three chimes ring and this time Mona is too scared and plays along, she tell the girls that three chimes means you must do as you're told "or else". The girls panic and ask Mona what "or else" means. She tells them that A will take them away at night and leave them in the hole. The girls return to their rooms and yell and scream "No" as their doors lock behind them.
It is unclear what happens in their rooms but Emily, Spencer and Aria come out of their rooms a few days later emotional and seemingly traumatized, they huddle back together and Spencer tells them that she can't find the words to describe what happened to her. Hanna comes out of her room also emotional and traumatized and Emily hugs her and tells her they will be OK because they are together again. A PA system tells them to maneuver to Alison's fake room and prepare for arrival. Hanna tells them that she doesn't wanna be in trouble again and tells them to follow instructions.
They arrive in Alison's room and go through stuff A has left for them to look through. The girls find out from a newspaper that Alison was let out of jail and her conviction was overturned. Hanna asks if they signed a welcome card for Ali, they give each other looks but don't answer. Emily concludes that they may be getting ready for Alison's arrival to the building. Hanna asks if A brings Alison there "does that mean he won't need Mona anymore?" Aria then asks where Mona even is but none of them know.
Hanna reads a newspaper and the girls come in, Spencer tells the girls that A planned on bringing them there for a long time because she found an object that she believed she lost ages ago. Hanna hands them the newspaper and tells them that their families are hopeless. Emily comments that it may not be a real newspaper but Aria tells her that their parents still don't know if they are alive or not and would be worried and sick anyway.
Hanna tells the girls her Mom was rushed to hospital because not knowing if the girls are alive made her physically sick. Aria becomes angry at A through a security camera and the girls calm her down. Spencer tells the girls through an Etch-a-Sketch that Charles is a DiLaurentis.
Spencer instructs Hanna to follow her while the generator is down and leads the girls to the room next to the vault. She tells them that Charles "disappeared like Houdini" when Mona came into the vault so there has to be shortcut inside the vault that would also be in the room they are in. A siren blares and they realize Charles knows they're out of their rooms without instruction to be. The girls help Spencer find a shortcut but Emily spots one in a different place. She tells the girls to help her and they find a vent to crawl through. The siren turns off and they quickly escape through the vent.
They come out into the vault room and discover almost everything about Charles' childhood. They play footage of a home video through a projector. Charles, Jason, Alison, and Jessica are all in it. Charles and Jason are children and Alison is a baby. Jessica asks the boys to say goodnight to their sister and they say goodnight to Alison, which confirms Spencer's theory that Charles is a part of the DiLaurentis family, the footage also reveals that Charles is Jason and Alison's long lost sibling. Spencer looks up at a security camera knowing A is watching and says "Game on, Charles". They begin to burn down the vault and A panics and turns on the sprinklers.
The girls try to find their way out. They look for Mona and help her out of the hole she was put it, they all reach an exit but can't get out, however fortunately the smoke from the vault created a signal for Alison, Caleb and Ezra-who had been tracking and researching a way to find the girls. They open hatch and the girls come out of it. Hanna and Aria hug their respective partners, Emily and Alison hug each other, and Mona and Spencer hug each other. Toby and the Police arrive and Spencer leaves Mona to hug Toby. Toby tells her that the police force figured out that A is Andrew Campbell, Spencer becomes confused by this but doesn't question him. The police search inside and find another girl, the Liars question if she was down there the entire time that they were and if so why they didn't ever see her.
===Songs of Innocence===
The girls are in the hospital and Hanna, Emily and Aria visit Spencer's bedside. Hanna says she heard the paramedics talking in her ambulance about how they found plans and journals in Andrew's house. Emily states, "Andrew Campbell and Charles DiLaurentis are the same person. That's what we're saying right?". Aria tells Emily that they're not just saying, it's reality. Spencer tells the girls that reality has been though a lot and so have they, implying a possibility that the police may have got it wrong. Aria tries to convince the group that them being the same person makes sense with the things Andrew has done. Emily questions when they tell the cops about what they know. Spencer tells the group that they don't say anything, the cops will know when they find him.
Hanna arrives back home, happy to be back in her actual bedroom. Due to her PTSD, she has a flashback. Her Mom touches her shoulder, accidentally scaring her. She apologizes but Hanna says it's fine. They hug, and Ashley tells her to think about what she wants to eat, as long as it's delivery because she doesn't want to leave Hanna alone.
The next day, she is re-decorating her room, Caleb questions why she's removing the wallpaper because she liked it. Hanna tells him that she used to like it and now she doesn't. Caleb agrees to help her take off the wallpaper and asks if she knows what she wants to replace it with, Hanna tells him that she'll choose something later but she wants her wallpaper removed now. Caleb questions why she doesn't want to look at paint chips to see what she may want before beginning to remove it, Hanna tells him that she just wants to change her room, not just the wallpaper, but she wants to change it all now. Seemingly due to her PTSD. Caleb tries to ask her about her room in the Dollhouse, she sternly tells him "That was not my room! This is my room.". She asks him if he's going to help her or not. Caleb tells her that he'd do anything for her and she asks him to help her with the steamer to remove the wallpaper.
Hanna and Caleb bring her mattress downstairs and Ashley comes home and greets Caleb. Seeing that her Mom is confused, Hanna tells Ashley that she wanted to change her room. Hanna says that they can either sell it all or give it away. Ashley tells Hanna that it's too late to start a yard sale. She tells Hanna to go to bed and they can talk about it in the morning. Caleb tells Ashley that the bed is already in the hallway. Ashley asks Hanna what she was planning to sleep on. Hanna suggests that she sleeps on the floor, Ashley tells her that she can't sleep on the floor and offers Hanna the other side of her bed and begins to talk about what to do with the furniture.
Hanna cuts her off and tells her that she can't look at the furniture anymore because it's been ruined. Ashley looks for answers from Caleb but Hanna becomes mad that she looks for answers within him, Ashley asks how the furniture is ruined and Hanna tells her that she just wants to make a change and get rid of the old furniture, avoiding stating that it now creeps her out because of the replica room in the Dollhouse. Hanna becomes mad that she is still looking to Caleb for answers and rhetorically asks "Why do you keep looking back and forth? Why can't I just have something that I want? Does that make me crazy?".
Hanna is sat on the floor in her room, the wallpaper has been removed and everything except a few pillows and a mirror have been removed too. Ashley tells Hanna that she forgot to make their bed. She asks if she knows what she wants to do with the blank canvas she now has. Hanna tells her that she hasn't decided yet, she just wanted everything gone. Ashley suggests Hanna goes shopping with Aria, Emily and Spencer for new things. Hanna declines it and Ashley questions "They're your friends?". Hanna distances herself telling Ashley "Doesn't mean I have to see them every seAcond of every day". Ashley crouches down near Hanna and speaks softly as she tries to question her about the Dollhouse.
Hanna tells her she doesn't want to talk about anything Dollhouse related. She tries to prod her with the same thing Caleb did, but Hanna remains and snaps back telling her the same thing she told Caleb "That was not my room. This is my room.". Ashley asks Hanna what happened to her in the room. Hanna shrugs it off and refuses to talk about it. Ashley tries to get her to open up, Hanna tells her that 'A' just played games with them.
Ashley questions what kind of games they played. Hanna lists "Truth or Dare", "Who do you love more, me or her?", "Who deserves water today, you or somebody else?". She tells her "You decide or you lose your turn and somebody else gets to pick. Lots and lots of games". Ashley sits down and looks at Hanna: "This is your room. Anything you want, baby. You want beanbag chairs... Danish Modern, you want.. Day-Glo wicker... you can have it." Hanna leans into her Mom and they hug.
Caleb arrives with a blow-up mattress for Hanna to sleep on and asks Hanna how the mattress feels. She comments "Like I'm about to be boxed and shipped.". Caleb tells that she's the bravest person he's ever met. Hanna tells him it's not true but she likes the sound of it. Caleb tells her that it is true and she is going to get through it with her friends. Hanna tells him she can't even look her friends in the eyes.
Caleb tells her it will be okay because they'll mend themselves back together, he tells her that she taught him that people mend themselves and sometimes end up stronger in the broken places. Hanna tells him that she wants her night table back, he smirks and kisses her. Later, Ashley comes into the room again and finds Hanna now asleep on Caleb on the mattress, Caleb tells her that he's gonna leave now and Ashley urges him to stay for longer. Later on Emily tells Hanna, Aria and Spencer that the girl who was down there-Sara Harvey-ran from home and is now staying with Emily and Pam.
===Songs of Experience===
The Liars talk over the phone about whether or not Andrew is "A", Aria and Hanna press that Andrew is "A", while due to Sara Harvey's belief that "A" isn't Andrew, Spencer and Emily aren't so sure now. Hanna tells the girls that they need to be at school today because she doesn't want to walk in alone.
She stands outside of school and waits for them. Dr. Sullivan approaches her telling her that if she needs to talk she can arrange sessions with her. The bell rings and she realizes the girls aren't coming and walks in by herself. She has a therapy session in an empty classroom with Dr. Sullivan. She tells Dr. Sullivan that she believes that Charles was annoyed by the girls' friendship, and if he could break them apart it would be "the big win", Hanna states that he may have won. Hanna states that if she is going to talk more about everything that the girls would need to be there, she asks Sullivan if she can force them to come, Sullivan tells her that only the girls can make the decision to come to a group session. Hanna tells her that she will get them to come.
Hanna arrives outside of Emily's house to encourage her to come to Dr. Sullivan's office, but Emily declines and tells Hanna she can have therapy on her own but she herself won't talk. Aria arrives outside Emily's house with news that she and Ezra discovered that Andrew was adopted and so it's possible that he's older than they think and that he could be the other kid in the home movie (beside Jason and Alison). Hanna comments "Wait, so, before he was a Campbell, maybe he was a DiLaurentis." Hanna manages to get Aria and Emily to come to Sullivan's office to talk, they wait for Spencer.
Spencer arrives with news that Jason told her that Charles was his imaginary friend and was actually named "Charlie", Mr. DiLaurentis told Jason that Charlie had to go away and Jason never saw Charlie again. Aria questions why Mr. DiLaurentis told Alison he didn't know who "Charles" was instead of just telling Alison that Charles was Jason's imaginary friend. Spencer agrees, Hanna rhetorically questions that the home movies that Jason and Alison haven't seen, had to of been of Jason and Charlie, and the Liars realize there's nothing imaginary about Charlie and Jason's Dad knows that.
The Liars agree that they have to talk to Dr. Sullivan about it all but Emily receives a video message threatening Sara Harvey's life, and they leave. They go to Emily's house to check on Sara and find out she's OK, and had no idea why they panicked. Pam comes home and warns the girls that Andrew has been released. The Liars tell Alison what Jason said and Alison states that Jason always believed something was missing from their family, "but maybe he wasn't the one removed". Alison begins to help them look for her parents hiding spots for proof that Charles DiLaurentis is real and not Jason's imaginary friend. Aria finds a picture with a part folded off, she unfolds it and sees the same boy with Jessica, Jason and Alison that they saw in the home movie. Alison tells the girls that she needs to confront her Dad about the boy, alone. Hanna apologizes to Dr. Sullivan for leaving and lies that Emily's Mom had an accident and they all had to be there.
The girls leave Alison's house and see Andrew get released, Aria walks up to him to apologize, but, Andrew doesn't care and begins to resent the girls telling them "Other towns have nice toxic dumps, Rosewood has you.". The girls realize that they are now cut off from everyone in town, as they know what happened but believe that trouble follows them wherever and don't want to be associated with them. Hanna tells the girls that she played a game with electric switches in the Dollhouse and believes that she hurt the girls via electrocution. The girls come clean and tell each other that they never got shocked but they believed they shocked each other. They realize that's what Charles wanted to make them realize, that at some point, they would be willing to hurt each other to escape something. Later on, Hanna goes home and finally looks at paint chips.
===Don't Look Now===
Alison reveals that her Dad told her that Charles is her brother. She tells The Liars her Dad told her Charles is dead but Hanna refuses to believe it, saying "No body, no grave, no proof". Spencer takes Hanna's side telling Alison that "A" responds to the name "Charles", so that's enough to believe that her brother may still be alive.
Hanna comes home to Caleb laying on her blow-up mattress, he tells her that he came over after he heard Andrew was released. They hug and she tells him she's exhausting, has a headache and needs to go to bed. Caleb tells her that Ashley said he could stay the night, she affirms and is glad. She wakes up to find Caleb sat at the window, awake and watching the cops outside. He asks how long he's been there and he tells her "long enough to see them switch for the second time", Hanna stresses that he needs to sleep. Caleb tells her he's too anxious to sleep with recent events and "A" still not found. She tells him that nothing will happen with the cops outside but Caleb informs her that he was watching them and they're doing a bad job, "there was a 10 minute gab between the time the first squad car left and the other one showed up.", stating that many things can happen within 10 minutes and they wouldn't know. Hanna suggest that he lay down on the bed at least but he tells her he wants to go and talk to the cop to find out if he got there late or if the other guy left early.
The girls meet at Spencer's house and discuss the possibility of Charles having a Radley file that they can search for in Radley. Aria points out that they can't sneak into Radley and Spencer tells them that she can ask for her Radley file and find out if Charles has been shredded or not, as if hers was shredded so would Charles'. If they haven't been shredded yet, they can check out the place and see how secure it is for them to sneak it and find it. Hanna states that Caleb can drive them but Emily tells Hanna that Caleb can't know about what they're doing but Hanna informs them that Caleb refuses to leave her side and always wants to know if she is okay. Emily stresses that Sara could get hurt if anyone else finds out, however, Hanna doesn't show an sympathy or care for her. Aria insists she doesn't tell Caleb with her tone and Hanna decides to think of something else to tell him.
Aria, Hanna and Emily wait outside Radley for Spencer, Spencer tells them that the receptionist won't give out her file, it has to go through Spencer's doctor first. Also implying they haven't been shredded yet. Emily figures out a way to get into the warehouse where they keep the files, Spencer says they can talk to Alison and Jason to figure out how to get to Charles' file. Hanna tells the girls to wait as she sees two workmen loading boxes of files into a truck. When the men aren't looking, the girls sneak into the warehouse. Spencer looks out for them, making sure they don't get caught, while the girls look for the file. Hanna and Emily talk about the groups friendship status, aware that, mentally, the events that happened in the Dollhouse are taking a toll and they're not as close as they used to be. Emily tells Hanna that while they're in a rough spot, they're gonna be back to normal eventually. The girls find the file and find out that before he turned 16, his doctor asked for an increase in medication for his severe depression, and that Carol Ward and Jessica DiLaurentis were the only two people who visited him between the ages of 13-16. Hanna is relieved 'cause they can visit Carol but Emily reveals that Carol died when the girls were in sophomore year-(and unfortunately Jessica is also dead). Spencer tells them to check the boxes to make sure they didn't miss anything, but the workmen come back in and they sneak back out. The girls are taken by surprise when they come out and find Caleb standing there, he gives Hanna a disappointed look for lying.
The girls go back home and Hanna lies to Caleb that they wanted to get Spencer's Radley file. Aria lies to her Dad that her phone died. As both men are incredibly protective of the girls, Caleb argues to keep a tracker on Hanna's car and Bryon tells Aria he's driving her where she goes next.
Jason takes the girls to his Aunt Carol's house after revealing that Charles' grave was in the backyard. Spencer has a flashback about being covered in blood with a trail of blood leading to a locked door. Hanna tells Spencer that Charles was probably trying to make her believe she did something bad but Spencer is convinced she may have actually hurt someone. They find the grave but Hanna doesn't believe it's real and starts to dig up the grave. Jason and Spencer tell Hanna the grave is real because of the way the weeds are growing around it; it couldn't have been just put there, it's been there for years. Hanna is mad that Spencer led them down the wrong path with the blocks and anagrams, however Spencer tells Hanna that "A" assumes Charles' identity, and had the home movies of Charles, Alison, Jason and Jessica, so "A" may be someone Charles knew in Radley.
Hanna comes home to Caleb, he questions her about where she's been because she has dirt on her but Hanna is immediately annoyed that he's always inquisitive about her every move. She tells Caleb she needs space in their relationship because she feels like she's being suffocated with Caleb wanting to know her every move, and being over-protective, being constantly watched-something she felt in the Dollhouse. Caleb is annoyed but understands he's being too much for Hanna and leaves.
===She's No Angel===
Hanna walks into the kitchen and finds Mona waiting for her. She and her family got back the night before and she is worried about Alison planning revenge since Mona sent her to jail. Hanna tells Mona that they have bigger problems than Alison. But Mona is afraid the police will charge her for faking her death. Hanna says the cops are looking for "A" like the rest of them and they have to track down everyone who had contact with Charles. Mona asks Hanna to drive her to the police station.
At the Brew people are starring at Mona and Hanna when they arrive. Mona tells Hanna to order quickly to get out of the place. Lesli walks over to them, angry that Mona made her an accomplice in Mona's faked murder. Lesli says she could lose everything because she thought Mona was a victim. Hanna defends Mona, but Lesli insults Hanna. Mona apologizes to Lesli for everything but Lesli doesn't forgive her, instead she threatens Mona.
At school Hanna rants to Spencer about Lesli's attitude. Spencer is texting Toby who is out of town and apologizes for not listening to her. Hanna complains that Caleb is treating her like a cracked egg. Spencer advises Hanna to stay out of it, but Hanna is determined to help Mona with Lesli as they need Mona's help to get information on Charles from Radley. Spencer eats her pot cookies and asks if Mona has any idea who is posing as Ali's possibly dead brother. Hanna doubts Charles is really dead as there is no proof. Hanna tries to grab a cookie, but Spencer stops her. Hanna becomes suspicious and asks Spencer if she is buzzed, Spencer lies and denies it, saying that she just misses Toby.
At the Brew, Hanna leaves a message on Lesli's voicemail, asking her to meet. Lesli shows up and apologizes for her behavior that morning. She says if Hanna found a way to forgive Mona, then she should too. Hanna admits Mona is complicated, but she isn't the real monster. She tells Lesli that Radley still holds the answers. Lesli thinks they should let the police handle it since taking matters into their own hands is what got Mona in trouble.
Hanna and Spencer break into Radley to find out what happened to Charles. Mona's mom wouldn't let her come. A picture of a girl is hanging on the wall and Spencer recognizes her from her nightmare. Hanna starts searching for documents and Spencer realizes she has been in that room before. They look through patient files. Spencer eventually finds the one for Charles DiLaurentis and they learn his organs were donated after his death. Finally convinced he is dead, they go on searching for people he was in contact with. Hanna accidentally pushes some documents in one of the bathtubs and freaks out when she thinks she sees a human kneecap, Spencer pulls it up a little out of the water and Hanna screams before realizing it's just a resuscitate doll. They hear pounding sounds and Hanna freaks out again but Spencer says "It's probably something you woke out of hibernation with your screaming.".
Hanna urges Spencer to leave, but she keeps looking through the files to find out who Charles was in contact with. When they hear another noise, they hurry to get out but find Mona in Radley, about to steal Lesli's patient file. Spencer takes it from her and tells Hanna that Lesli has been in Radley long enough to know Mona and Charles.
Hanna texts the girls what she and Spencer know, they meet at Hanna's and discuss the picture of "A" that Aria accidentally took-and texted the girls about questioning the gender of "A". Hanna is sure Lesli is the girl in the black hoodie, but Aria says they don't know enough about Lesli to blame her. Spencer finds a note in Lesli's patient file that she shared a room with Bethany Young and they conclude that Lesli must think they killed Bethany. Emily wonders why she would kidnap Sara. Spencer says she probably used Sara as a rehearsal before she could get the real Alison. Convinced that Lesli is "A", they devise a plan to catch her in the act.
===No Stone Unturned===
Hanna arrives without Mona, saying that Mona's Mom busted her for sneaking out to Radley and isn't allowed to leave her room. Emily says she has an appointment with her Mom and Dr. Sullivan and Hanna asks where Aria is. Spencer tells her that Aria is at Hollis College putting Clark's negatives back. Hanna asks if they are going to Philly to catch Lesli in the act, but they don't respond in the affirmative, angering Hanna, who is persistent on catching Lesli in the act.
Hanna is in her kitchen looking at the Harwich University site on her laptop, and discovers that Lesli is a teaching assistant in her science department. She sends Emily a text letting her know. Caleb shows up at the Marin household and Ashley invites him in for breakfast; he greets Hanna with affectionate but she acts dismissive towards him. He sees a lump on her neck and asks what it is, prompting Hanna to say that she wouldn't know as she just woke up. Hanna tells her Mom that she won't be staying for breakfast because she has to meet Spencer for Spencer's appointment in Philly, and reminds her Mom that the girls are using the buddy system like she asked them to. She tells Caleb she'll call him later.
Hanna is standing across the street from a sushi bar on the phone with Spencer asking where she is, causing her to say that she's on her way but got caught up. Lesli is having a faculty lunch, but Hanna says she was late and asks where she was. Spencer tells Hanna that she got caught up because Dean dropped by with a gift for her; Hanna says that Toby better get back to Rosewood, insinuating that something could happen between Spencer and Dean. However, Spencer shuts her down.
Hanna greets the valet at the sushi bar saying that she thought she left her ticket in her car but she can't find it. When Hanna describes Lesli's car, pretending it's her own, the valet goes to get it for her. She receives a phone call from Spencer who tells her that she's almost there; Hanna tells her to meet her in the alley nearby. Spencer asks if she's stealing Lesli's car, causing Hanna to say that she's borrowing it. The valet returns with Lesli's car and Hanna gets in and drives off.
Spencer and Hanna are in the alley and Spencer says the key card will help them get into the college. Spencer asks about Caleb and, upon realizing that Hanna is still shutting him out, tells him not to. The two see several pairs of non prescription glasses in Lesli's car, as well as animal cages in the trunk, and Spencer says that the cages are large enough for them making the two uneasy.
Hanna is in her room and Caleb walks in behind her, freaking her out. He tells her that Ashley made him a key, which doesn't surprise Hanna. He tells her to knock it off, prompting her to say that she's not the one who showed up at someone's door for no reason. He grabs her arm, says that he has a reason and kisses her. The two make out and move over to her bed.
At Harwick College Science Lab, the girls (minus Emily) break in and are looking for clues. Hanna ducks down to search a cabinet and hears beeping. Spencer inspects what's causing it and discovers that they've been chipped and they realize that's why they were drugged in the dollhouse. Later, Hanna sees a bunch of rats in their cages and a raccoon. Hanna decides to let the rats out, but the raccoon gets out as well. Spencer takes Hanna's cheese puffs and throws some on the floor for them to lure it back in its cage. A rat climbs onto Aria's shoulder causing her to freak out and move towards Spencer and Hanna.
The lights go off and a light turn backs on and Mona asks if they're lost their minds. Mona says she shut the lights off so the campus police wouldn't see them, but the girls believe her to be working with "A" who they strongly believe is Lesli. Mona says that Lesli hated Bethany and that she's pretending to be stable. It's revealed that, the night Ali disappeared, two people escaped from Radley: Bethany and Charles. Spencer hands Mona Charles' medical form to prove that he was dead, but Mona quickly shoots the idea down upon seeing the medications Charles was on. She explains that no one would want his liver and he wasn't an eligible donor. The girls claimed that they had a picture that proved "A" is a girl and Mona says that if they had a picture of "A", it's because "A" wanted to be caught. Campus security shows up but the girls find hiding spots.
Later on, Hanna goes over to Emily's to tell her they are all chipped. Emily asks if the girls still think "A" is dead Charles. Hanna informs Emily that Charles was never dead. Hanna believes the only reason he gave his name up was because he thought they would never get out of the dollhouse. Hanna tells Emily that Lesli was "a speed bump" on the way to finding Charles.
===O Brother, Where Art Thou===
Hanna sends a text to Aria, telling her she'll meet her at Mona's place. When Hanna is about to leave her house to go to The Brew, Ashley stops her and gives her a cheque worth $30,000 dollars for her tuition. Hanna notices the scholarship comes from the "Carissimi Group", which sounds familiar to her. Ashley tells her Jason was the one who recommended it, because Jessica donated all the time.
Mona, Aria and Hanna are already in Mona's room, when Spencer joins them. Even though Lesli promised to be there, she didn't come. Lesli texts Mona, telling her she is afraid this kind of confrontation might set her stability back. Hanna becomes angry and implies she'll threaten her to get her here. Aria wants to drive to Lesli's, because she is sure, she knows more about Charles. Mona tells her, if Lesli did, she would have told her and she would have told them. Spencer asks if Mona saw a guy, who could have been Charles, the night Alison disappeared. Mona states she wished she had seen somebody, but she didn't. Aria asks her, who she met at Radley and who might have stolen the game from her, but Mona doesn't remember who she was talking to, because she has been on drugs.
At the Brew, Spencer and Hanna are talking about Charles and them being exactly where they have been two months ago. Hanna is searching for the "Carissimi Group" and finds out, that the scholarship she got isn't listed on any of the usual websites. Instead, they find Radley Sanitarium listed on the company's website. They speculate about the company being founded by Mrs. DiLaurentis to put money aside for Charles. While they are looking for the owner, Spencer's phone rings, it's Alison, she leaves to answer. Sabrina shows up and puts a bag of pot candies in Spencer's bag, telling Hanna that Spencer would thank her later, Hanna is unaware of what Sabrina puts in her bag, being more concentrated on researching.
The girls knock on the DiLaurentis' door, but get no answer, a cop arrives and asks what they want. Hanna asks if the cop has seen Jason, but he hasn't, he asks if they need his help but they decline and leave the premises.
The girls are at Spencer's house and discuss how to help Jason. Hanna tells them, she has put a GPS tracker from Caleb on Jason's car, so they'll be able to follow him. Emily throws in that they are tracked too, and this has to be a trap set by "A". Aria agrees with her, saying they need to step back from it and let the police do their work. Spencer mentions, if they tell the police, "A" won't show up. They decide to inform Toby about it, to make sure he could help them if anything goes wrong. When Emily asks how they are supposed to remove the microchips, Hanna shows some surgical tools and tells her they will do it by themselves. Toby and Spencer end up compromising after she tells him "A" is Alison and Jason's brother. Hanna gives Toby Caleb's burner phone as it has a GPS tracker on it tracking Jason.
Spencer becomes worried about Toby not communicating and decides to go to the arcade, the girls agree and follow Jason to the arcade, however, Alison called the cops and told them everything. Toby and Lorenzo show up and unfortunately ruin Jason's meeting with Charles, it becomes dangerous and Jason knows Spencer called told Toby. The cops show up and dismantle the situation. The Liars, Toby and Lorenzo are left and the Liars parents find out.
Hanna and her Mom arrive at home. Ashley is mad and tells Hanna that it isn't her job to catch Charles/A and possibly get herself kidnapped again and she shouldn't have gone to the arcade. Ashley tells Hanna she should cash in the scholarship money and get away from all of this. Hanna says they shouldn't take the money, since the company seems to be connected to the DiLaurentis'. But Ashley tells her she deserves it, because that family put her through a lot, and reveals that she already deposited the cheque for Hanna.
===FrAmed===
Spencer, Emily, Hanna and Aria are in the Montgomerys' living room watching TV. A news reporter is talking about Charles being the new lead suspect in the kidnapping case. As the DiLaurentis family gave the home video to the police, Spencer says that they could do an age-progression sketch to finally put a face to the name. Hanna suggests someone 'should put a fist to the face.' Aria and Alison join them and Spencer gets a text from Toby. He informs her about the highway patrol setting up checkpoints at the state borders. Emily turns up the volume of the TV, where they are speculating that Charles also murdered his Mother; Jessica DiLaurentis. While Alison and the other girls are shocked about that speculation, Hanna isn't at all.
She tells them that they all know Charles is vicious, and now everyone else knows too. Alison remembers Charles' birthday at the arcade. She tells her friends that Charles was crying when he had to leave and said it was the best birthday he ever had and questions how that turns into "vicious". Hanna gets visibly annoyed by Alison's story. She can't believe the others are feeling pity for Charles, since he has been threatening them for so long. Even though Spencer and Aria try to stop her, Hanna tells Alison that she is sorry for her, but she's not giving Charles the benefit of the doubt. She declares she hopes the police will catch him, because they can't do anything to him that would be worse than what he did to them, she then leaves the house.
Later, Hanna and her Mother are on their way to Kenneth's office. Since Hanna still refuses to accept the scholarship of the "Carissimi Group", Ashley wants Mr. DiLaurentis to explain why his wife donated so much money to the company. She can't imagine why Charles would give a scholarship to her daughter, but Hanna tells her that this is how he plays the game, "A" gives so he can take away. As Kenneth doesn't answer their phone calls, Hanna tells her mother that it would be best to give the money back and let him explain to the police. However, Ashley wants to keep the scholarship, and suggests that they could still inform Tanner after they talked to Kenneth. Hanna reluctantly agrees, but as they walk around the corner to Mr. DiLaurentis' office, they notice a crowd of reporters in front of it. Ashley stops her daughter and tells her they have to find another way to reach him, as she doesn't want her daughter being interviewed. Hanna mentions again that she doesn't want the money, but Ashley insists on it, because she doesn't want her to give up the chance to go to college.
At the Hastings Household, Hanna is nervously walking back and forth while Spencer is on her notebook, investigating about the scholarship money from the Carissimi Group. Hanna is upset her Mother doesn't want to go to the police, since she is sure the police could use the check to track down "A". Spencer tells her all the have to find out is, if Charles was the one signing the check. They decide to bring the money back by themselves, and at the same time they would be able to get inside the Carissimi Group and find more information.
Spencer and Hanna enter Rhys Matthews' office at the Carissimi Group. As Rhys is not there, Spencer takes the opportunity to search for possible clues to Charles. Hanna notices a mirror and gets a little paranoid. She asks Spencer to stop touching things, as she thinks it could be a two-way glass and somebody is watching them or listening to them. However, Spencer tells her she is acting ridiculous and Hanna throws a paper at her. Just in that moment Rhys comes in and asks how he could help them.
Back at the Carissimi Group Spencer and Hanna are sitting in Rhys' office, who asks why she doesn't want the scholarship. Hanna tells him that it was her mother who applied for it and she would have a few other options. She asks, if he would be able to give it to someone else, but he declines and tells her they aren't taking back gifts, as it undermines the concept of charity. Spencer offers him they could find another person. She is curious what the criteria is and how many scholarships they usually give away. When Rhys asks if she is in need, she tells him she is asking for a friend who wants to apply but doesn't find much information on their website.
Rhys informs them that most of their candidates are recommended through personal connections and his employer is choosing the recipients. Spencer asks him if that would be Mr. Carissimi and if they could talk to him, but Rhys tells them that this is unlikely. While putting out her phone, Hanna asks if she could at least send him an e-mail to thank him. Pulling out her phone to make it look like she's about to put contact information in, she secretly takes a photo of Rhys. He states that the best he can do, is to inform his boss about Hanna's decision then he brings them to the door. As Spencer and Hanna ride in the elevator, Hanna makes it clear that she thinks Rhys is hiding something. Spencer points to a password protected room but Hanna tells her what he is hiding isn't in there, it is in his DNA, as he looks exactly like a DiLaurentis.
Hanna and Spencer arrive at the gallery. While Hanna is sure that Rhys is Charles and is determined to show Aria the picture she made, Spencer tells her that resemblance is not enough proof. She suggests not telling Aria for now, as this will be an important evening for her. Emily walks over to them and Spencer at firsts starts to lie to her, Spencer and Hanna share a look after this and Spencer begins to tell Emily the truth. Hanna hands her phone to Emily after saying 'don't tell Aria' and Emily asks why Hanna has a photo of Jason on her phone, they tell her that he is Rhys and then tell her they were following a clue about Charles.
The announcer presents Aria's work, however, on the wall instead of Aria's original work, there are photographs each of the four girls sleeping on slabs, which we saw in "Game On, Charles". This causes all of The Liars to have quick, disturbing flashbacks from the Dollhouse. A few moments later the gallery gets closed by Tanner. Ella, Aria and Tanner are talking about the photographs, which "A" named "Stolen Dolls – No son Lindas". Lieutenant Tanner explains to them that 'No son Lindas' is Spanish for "They aren't pretty" but it can also serve a double meaning and be a play on words for "They aren't Linda's", as in they don't belong to Linda Tanner. Ella is mad after realizing that Charles thinks that when Tanner rescued the girls she stole something from him. Tanner states that she grew up in a bilingual household and realizes that Charles sent the message in Spanish to send a message to her specifically: as much as she uncovers about him, he can uncover about her.
Police officers are bringing away the pictures and Hanna is still staring at them. Emily wonders how she can even look at them. Spencer explains it's like a car wreck for Hanna, some people look away, Hanna stops and stares. While the three girls walk over to Spencer's car, they see Rhys across the street and decide to follow him. Hanna, Emily and Spencer follow Rhys to an abandoned doll factory. Emily asks if they should follow him into the building, but the other two agree that it would be better to stay outside. Emily, Hanna and Spencer wait in the car, when Clark arrives and walks into the building. The girls immediately consider him as a helper of "A" and drive away to find Aria.
===Last Dance===
In the Marins' kitchen, Hanna says that the school can't punish the girls and Ashley tells her that it's not a punishment. Hanna sarcastically asks what she would call it then, and it's revealed that the girls are banned from attending the Rosewood High senior prom. As the parents tell the girls about the prom in the barn, they say that it's not a banquet hall. Ashley tells Hanna that she doesn't have a choice. The girls then find out that they have been banned from graduation as well, meaning they'll receive their diplomas in the mail rather than walking across a stage to receive them.
The Liars (minus Mona) are in The Brew discussing the fact that they won't be attending prom. Aria, trying to be positive, says it could be worse. The girls fall silent, and Hanna finally asks how. The Liars are quiet, waiting for a response, then Aria defensively replies that she's thinking. They continue to discuss the situation. Emily, noticing Ali's silence, asks if she's okay and she says she is. Alison asks "Even if we did go to the real prom, who would we hang out with besides each other?" and the girls see her point. Aria says that Charles has a thing for proms and they already went to one psycho prom. Spencer gives her a look. Emily, changing the subject, asks if Aria has talked to Clark. Aria says she hasn't, but she left him five messages. Spencer asks if she mentioned who they saw him meet up with and Aria says he hasn't given her a name. Hanna asks "What about Charles?", causing Spencer to sarcastically reply, "He goes by Rhys."
Hanna is waiting outside as Caleb walks over. She asks "Why New York?" and Caleb tells her that his dad had some work there and thought it would be cool if they could spend a few days together. Hanna asks if he could come home a little earlier to be at prom, to which he says that they're all missing it and that they would just be watching Molly Ringwald movies in Spencer's barn - which they can do any day, leaving Hanna to pretend she's not bothered. Hanna looks in his bag and finds an industrial strength laptop. When she asks Caleb about it, he says that his dad is slowly becoming a techno-geek and then asks her what she wants from New York.
In Hanna's kitchen, Emily asks Hanna why she doesn't talk to Caleb directly before calling his Dad. Hanna says that he's not answering his phone and leaves to make the call once Ashley walks in. Emily asks what Ashley is holding and it is a necklace from her grandmother; she thought Hanna might want to wear it to prom. After a brief discussion about the barn prom, Ashley asks why Caleb isn't coming and Emily tells her that he's in New York. Ashley tells her that they've been robbed of so much and that they should enjoy their prom as it is and feel beautiful, because senior prom comes once in a lifetime. Hanna comes back into the kitchen, annoyed, and finds out that Caleb wasn't going to New York - he was going to hunt "A" down himself. She calls him again saying "Answer your phone".
Ezra takes pictures of the four Liars and Hanna asks Toby if he can call someone from the station; he tells her that when he turned in his badge, he practically got frostbite so he can't ask for favors. Hanna thinks that Toby knows about Caleb's plan; he claims he doesn't, so Hanna demands that he look at her when he says it to tell if he's lying. He does and she believes him.
The girls are swiping through people's photos and stop once they spot Alison in the background. Toby asks why she would go to the Rosewood High prom and Spencer says Alison is hoping to meet Charles. At the Rosewood Prom, the girls decide to show up anyway with Toby and Ezra. The girls finally catch up to Alison and ask why she didn't come to the barn. Alison blames the girls for scaring him away at the arcade and believe that they'll do the same this time; she begs them to let her leave and insists that she knows what she's doing before walking away. Ezra, Toby and The Liars follow her but Emily stays behind as she sees Sara. Hanna is looking out at the dance floor when someone places their hands on her shoulders - it's Caleb. He asks why she's there, since she's not supposed to be and she deflects the question saying that he said he would be in New York but wasn't. He says that he was and he'll tell her everything if she dances with him.
On the dance floor, Hanna tells Caleb that he would talk after one dance. He explains that he was looking for a job, and when she argues that he already has one, he says that it's not one that can afford a move to New York. She asks who's moving there. He says "We are... if that's still your dream." He says that, with his job, they'll be able to pay for Hanna's tuition and a house bigger than that girl's hair, who is dancing near them. When Hanna asks if it has anything to do with A, he says "just getting away from him." She smiles and they share a kiss.
The girls, Ezra, Toby, Caleb and Clark, spot Alison walking away and Clark takes out a gun he's hiding in his jacket before following her. The girls follow him and try to stop Clark, believing him to be connected with Charles. After a brief misunderstanding, it is revealed that Clark is an undercover cop. They let him go and he follows Alison, as do the rest of the girls but Emily stays behind and asks Aria "you really had no idea?", Aria denies it believing he was just a friend.
===Game Over, Charles===
In the opening (after "A"'s reveal), Alison and The Liars are running through the halls of Radley Sanitarium towards the roof. They look around before spotting "A", who is about to jump, standing on the roof. Ali begs, “Please don’t do this”, as police cars pull onto the street in front of Radley. Ali says she’ll do whatever it takes to help "A" and Spencer says that the game isn’t over just because they know who "A" is. Two police officers draw their guns and aim, up, at the suspect, but Barry tells them not to as they also have civilians with the suspect. Emily begs, “Please don’t do this to your sister”, and Aria says “You spent your whole life trying to get back to your family. It’s not too late”. Hanna tells them that they've been such a bitch to the girls, but they heard "A"'s story and they understand. "A" raises their arms and the girls scream “NO!”.
Earlier that night, we see the girls at prom and Hanna calling the DiLaurentis house. We see the DiLaurentis’ living room and hear “open the door!”. Hanna informs the other girls that no one is home, causing Emily to suggest that Ali could be on the roof. Sara joins them and says the police know they left and have questions. They stay at Prom and spot a girl in a suspicious costume, they follow her and find out it's Mona, who has been tracking Alison for a while, and reveals that Alison got a text from "A" and is meeting them. They all try to find Alison.
They find a password-protected room, which Sara works out. They realize the room belongs to "A", Mona manages to work out it's kinks and a holographic live stream plays. They see Alison freak out about Jason and Mr. DiLaurentis, who look dead, she asks "A" what they've done to them. "A" turns around and reveals themselves telling Alison not to be so dramatic.
The girls are all shocked to find out that "A" is revealed to be their former friend CeCe Drake. CeCe tells Alison "They're not dead... yet". CeCe begins to tell her story of why she became "A", revealing that she is transgender and changed her name from Charles to Charlotte and is Alison and Jason's sister, and reveals the truth about Marion Cavanaugh's death.
Hanna questions "Wait so, Charles is CeCe but CeCe is Charlotte?". The girls figure out that Charlotte was born as Charles DiLaurentis and transitioned to Charlotte Dilaurentis, while being friends with them under the name CeCe Drake. As a motion sensor is set off, Spencer realizes that Charlotte is revealing everything now because she plans to blow up Radley.
Charlotte continues with her story and reveals that she hit Alison the night she disappeared thinking she was Bethany Young. Mona realizes, and feels remorse for hitting Bethany thinking she hit Alison. Charlotte reveals she visited Mona in Radley before she came off her medication and stopped because Mona wasn't loyal, stating "she was Hanna's legit friend, and she ran her over with a car. Where's the loyalty in that?", Mona apologizes to Hanna, Hanna responds saying she knows she is sorry. Charlotte also revealed that she saw Alison in a red coat and became confused "I watched Mom bury you" and admitted that she organised a fake threat to The Liars' lives at the Lodge to see if Alison would come and save them. Alison did and she was relieved she didn't kill her sister; Alison was alive. However Charlotte tells Alison that Shana and Wilden were the ones who interrupted her Lodge plan and escalated her fake threat to a real one by setting the Lodge on fire with the Liars' trapped inside.
Charlotte reveals that Sara Harvey is her accomplice and Red Coat. Emily starts to panic wants to leave, Spencer gets The Liars (minus Mona) out but they have an altercation with Sara, Emily punches her and they try to escape. Alison joins them and tells them Charlotte plans to jump off the roof. They head to the roof and stop her. Charlotte climbs down and tells them "Game over".
In a jump-forward, it's Labor Day weekend, we see Spencer, Hanna, Emily and Aria get ready to leave Rosewood to pursue their jobs in other countries. Hanna comments on the amount of flip-flops Emily is taking with her, Emily tells her "It's Malibu.", the back of her car is branded with "Pepperdine University" above the license plate. Spencer, in a Southern accent, tells Aria not to come back from Savannah talking like a Southerner. Aria tells Spencer not come back from Georgetown talking like a politician in return. Alison is present in the group goodbye although she is the only one staying in Rosewood. Emily reveals Sara got released from the hospital, Alison reminds her Sara's hospitalization isn't their fault. Spencer comments that Sara will blame them anyway. Hanna comments that saying goodbye is harder than she thought it would be. Spencer quotes Winnie the Pooh: "How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard?", and hugs Hanna as she tells her "Bye, baby Hanna Banana" and Hanna adds "Spencil" as her nickname. They cry a little and Alison says goodbye to them all as she stays behind in Rosewood.
Years later, in another jump-forward, Alison is much older and teaching in a classroom. The Liars (minus Mona) run into her classroom and alert her of danger with Spencer telling Alison "He's here", each of them looking more grown up.
===Of Late I Think Of Rosewood===
5 years later, Alison writes to The Liars, knowing that they're coming back to Rosewood. We see each of the Liars looking at their letter from different locations; Spencer in Washington, D.C., Aria at a book signing, Hanna flying back from New York, and Emily in California. In the letter, Alison asks to meet with them for just five minutes to explain things. The Liars are due to come back to Rosewood to declare to court whether or not they would feel safe if Charlotte DiLaurentis was released from Welby. So, Alison wants to talk to them before they say anything.
The Liars (minus Mona and Alison) meet at The Brew, Emily is having a drink and Hanna comes up behind her and surprises her. Aria and Spencer joke about Hanna and Emily being a romantic friendship. The girls chat about their lives; Hanna has become a fashion designer and is now engaged to Jordan after her relationship with Caleb ended, Emily is attending the Salk Institute but says they aren't doing tours when Spencer asks for one, Aria is in a relationship with Liam. When Aria asks who Spencer is seeing, Spencer says she is too busy to date. They discuss Charlotte's hearing and wonder what they're going to say about her being released. Aria says that A could be let out, so they need to be honest. Spencer says that even though both good and bad things have happened, their lives were uncontaminated by A; they agree to meet up with Alison to see what she has to say.
At Radley, which has now been converted to a hotel called The Radley, Hanna and her Mom are seen chatting over lunch. Ashley says that she had hoped Hanna would bring Jordan with her, but Hanna just says "maybe next time". They discuss why Hanna came back to Rosewood, and Ashley tells Hanna that she doesn't owe Alison anything after what Charlotte did to them. Hanna reassures her Mom that she knows exactly what she plans on telling the court.
Back in Rosewood High School, the Liars meet with Alison and discuss Charlotte in her classroom. Alison says that they need to give statements to show that they aren't afraid of her, but the girls are unsure. After the girls ask who else would be speaking, Alison says that Mona demanded to be heard. Hanna asks "What about Sara?" and Alison says that she won't be allowed to testify because of how her criminal charges were resolved. Spencer asks why Jason isn't there and Alison says that he doesn't agree with her and Dr. Rollins. The girls stay silent when Alison asks if they'll say they aren't afraid anymore; Alison, upset, walks out of her classroom, as she believed the girls would come around and be okay with it.
Outside the Rosewood Police Department, Veronica Hastings is seen giving a speech for her campaign to run for office. Hanna, Aria and Spencer are in the audience. The girls discuss Charlotte and Spencer says that they don't need to talk about what Charlotte did as "A", because the courts have the reports. All they need to do is say that they aren't afraid of Charlotte, then they can get back out of Rosewood. Aria asks if not being afraid of Charlotte is the truth, questioning how healed they all are, Hanna responds that maybe it is.
Alison speaks in court. She tells them that her family has always had a missing part: Charlotte. Alison says that she wants to bring her sister home, as she's gotten to know and love the missing part of her family. Spencer says that the reports about what Charlotte did to them are just that, "reports", and that Charlotte poses no threat to her. Hanna says that when she walks outside, she feels free and doesn't believe that there is a reason Charlotte shouldn't feel the same. Emily says that fear is natural, but she can choose to be afraid or not and she isn't afraid of Charlotte. Aria begins to talk about the facts but the judge tells her they have the facts and she needs to just speak the truth, she begins to get flashbacks from being in the Dollhouse and changes, she says that she would not feel safe if Charlotte got released. When it's Mona's turn to speak, she sympathizes with Charlotte as she was once in Radley and asks the courts to "let her out".
Later on, at The Radley, Spencer and Emily are waiting for Aria and Hanna. Emily says she thought Sara would step into the hearing room, but Spencer said that they were told she wouldn't be there. They soon get a group text from Alison informing them that the judge decided to let Charlotte out and thanks them for their help. Hanna encourages the girls to turn their phones off but Spencer is hesistant as her job requires her attention a lot, Hanna convinces are to turn it off and the girls talk more and agree to meet up more often; after having some drinks, Spencer says that she thought it wouldn't matter what they said to the judge because she thought they'd never let Charlotte out, "I thought that we could just lie for Ali one more time, and it wouldn't matter. But it did. They let "A" out". Aria comments that it would be the biggest cosmic joke if Charlotte got to live happily ever after.
The next morning, the girls are hungover in Hanna's suite; Spencer tells Hanna that Toby is building a house and gets jealous that she only got a chair while some other girl is going to get a house. The phone rings and Emily, thinking it's hers, accidentally knocks her purse and its contents onto the floor; it's revealed that Emily has some unknown pills, which she desperately tries to keep hidden from the girls. Hanna answers her phone and a frantic Alison asks if Charlotte went to Hanna's hotel room last night. Hanna tells her that Charlotte was never there and Alison tells her that Dr. Rollins brought Charlotte home, but, the next morning she was gone and hasn't come back. Hanna tells Alison not to wait and to call the cops immediately, Alison affirms, hangs up and Hanna relays the information back to the girls, who become uneasy knowing Charlotte is gone.
Later, in Hanna's hotel room, Caleb is standing outside her door. He says that Spencer called and explained what had happened, then asks Hanna if she's okay. Hanna lets him in and tells him she believes that if they had just stayed quiet, Charlotte would be safe in her hospital room. Caleb says he's going to stay for the funeral and when Hanna asks if he needs a room, he reveals that he's staying in Spencer's barn. Hanna asks why he didn't call her before he came over and he says he wasn't sure if she would let him in; she says "Why wouldn't I let you in? We're still friends, aren't we?" and he assures her that they are, they share an anxious look. Room service comes and Caleb leaves, Hanna then nervously plays with her engagement ring.
The cops find Charlotte's body and an investigation begins into whether or not to rule it a suicide or murder. At The Church, People attend Charlotte's funeral; The Liars, Caleb, Lorenzo and Ezra are sitting quietly when the door opens and Sara Harvey walks in, Aria alerts Emily, Spencer and Hanna who all watch Sara sit down and then look away when Sara looks back at them. After the service is over, Alison and Dr. Rollins get into a car and drive away.
Just before the girls can leave, Lorenzo walks over to them and asks what their plans are for the next couple of days. Emily asks why and Lorenzo says that Charlotte's autopsy report revealed that Charlotte didn't commit suicide, she was actually murdered. He tells them they'll get a call and walks off. Emily says she wants to go home and Spencer says "we are home" before they look up at the bell tower. An unseen figure in a black car with tinted windows looks at the girls before leaving.
===Charlotte's Web===
The Liars sit in The Radley and Aria asks Hanna when she told Jordan about Rosewood, Charlotte, and everything they went through. Hanna says when she knew she was falling in love with him. Aria says that she and Liam aren't at that point yet, but she's sure he'll have questions for her when she gets back. Emily asks if she's going back that night, since the police wanted to speak to them. Aria says that she has to as she's already missed a few days of work, causing Hanna to remind her that they all missed work and they're still staying. Aria defends herself saying that it wasn't an easy job to get and she can't lose it.
When Hanna says that the police will ask questions about that night, Aria says that they were all together and none of them left the hotel room so nothing will go wrong. Sara appears and Spencer says that the person the police should be questioning is Sara Harvey. Sara has someone sign her in, as she can't use her hands. The girls say that they haven't told anyone what happened to Sara the night Charlotte ended the game and wonder if she really can't remember anything; Hanna thinks she's lying, just like she lied about her Stockholm Syndrome. Spencer tells her that if Sara really was brainwashed, then she'd have a good motive to kill Charlotte - revenge.
Hanna says she'll walk Aria to her car and, while the two are alone, tells Aria that she knows she left the hotel room the night Charlotte was killed and asks where she went. Aria says that she was checking her messages, but her phone died so she went to get her charger from her car and came back to the room. Hanna tells her that she was gone for longer than five minutes; she'd know because she tried to wait up for her. Aria tells her that she's remembering it wrong, which isn't surprising considering how wasted Hanna got; Hanna says that she wasn't that wasted, but Aria tells her she threw up in the bathtub. Hanna tells her that it was Emily not her and that if Aria went somewhere, the girls should know. Aria tells her she didn't but Hanna doesn't believe her.
At The Radley, Hanna sees a bellhop lighting candles in her hotel room. She tells him he has the wrong room because she didn't order this. Jordan shows up and tells her that he did because he wanted to surprise her and celebrate them. He tells her that he spoke to his Mom and her lawyer could go with Hanna to the station because he knows how the Rosewood police have treated her in the past. She says that maybe they should go back to New York that night, but Jordan tells her that once the police talk to her and realize she had nothing to do with this, it will be over. He tells her that just because she's had a bad day, it doesn't have to end that way and they embrace.
We later see Spencer, Hanna and Alison going over Charlotte's autopsy report: "The flower was placed in her hand to make it look like a suicide and the fingernails and hands were wiped clean". Hanna gives her condolences to Alison, who asks who would do something like this; Hanna replies "Sara Harvey", but Alison says that the police don't think she could when she can barely hold a fork. Spencer says that maybe she had help; Alison said that she saw Byron and he said that Aria left one day earlier than she planned, then invites them (as well as Caleb, Emily and Jordan) over for dinner; they accept.
While they walk down the streets of Rosewood, Jordan asks her what she's more worried about "spending the night with Alison or introducing me to Caleb?", Hanna tells him she's worried about both. Jordan assures her everything will be okay and the conversation will go smoothly and Hanna says that if they're going to Alison's they're not just bringing food and they go into "Rosewood Grape Wine" store.
At Alison's house, Jordan and Hanna greet Emily and Spencer. Hanna introduces Jordan and Caleb and Jordan asks if he can help him grab food from the car. Hanna turns to Emily and Emily assures her that Caleb and Jordan will get along fine. Hanna asks Alison how she's doing, Alison says she's "holding up" and that she's glad everyone could make it, except for Aria and asks if anyone has spoken to her. They say that they haven't, but Hanna says she's busy with work and Alison excuses herself to get serving spoons. Later, Emily says she might stick around for a while longer and Hanna asks if the Salk Institute will be okay with that. Emily tells her they're fine with it; Hanna asks what she does and Emily says that they research cures for things like Alzheimers, diabetes, and infectious diseases. Hanna walks off to find a wine opener, before commenting "God there's four bottles of wine and nobody can find a wine opener".
Spencer asks Caleb to look in the pantry for some wine glasses, he and finds Hanna who tells him that Alison got rid of all the booze when she thought Charlotte was coming home. She tells him that she'll help him find glasses if he'll help her find an opener. After a moment of silence, Caleb says that Jordan seems nice and congratulates Hanna on her engagement; she thanks him and tells him that she wasn't looking for another relationship when he left for Europe. She just wanted to focus on her career and he says that she seems happy.
They go back to the table and Alison gets a phone call from Lorenzo updating her on Charlotte's time of death - around 4:00 am. She says it's a good thing because they're one stop closer to finding her killer. Alison then closes her eyes and begins to say grace. She thanks God for the food, friends, the people who are seeking justice for Charlotte, and for helping the police find her killer and anyone who could be protecting him. She pauses and then adds "or her" and the girls look at each other in confusion. Alison opens her eyes and looks at Hanna. Emily, Hanna and Spencer become uneasy and awkward, as Alison seems to strongly suspect a girl.
When Spencer and Hanna are alone, Hanna comments "Well, that was awkward", Spencer asks if Alison's "or her" was directed at them but Hanna says it may be directed at Aria. A confused Spencer asks why Alison would think Aria had anything to do with Charlotte's murder, causing Hanna to tell her that Aria left the hotel room around 3 am and she doesn't know when she came back. Spencer asks why they can't just talk to Aria about it and Hanna tells her that she tried, but she may have lied. Spencer asks Hanna if they can look at the surveillance cameras of The Radley, since Hanna's Mom is the manager, but Hanna says she doesn't do stuff like that anymore. Spencer understands what's she is asking Hanna to do but wonders how else they're supposed to know that Aria came back before Charlotte died without confronting her again. When Spencer is back home Hanna texts her saying that she found her Mom's keys to the security room.
Hanna and Emily are in the security room watching the security footage. They spot Aria and Ezra meeting up after 3:00 am in The Radley and Emily wonders what Ezra was doing there. Spencer shows up and watches with them. They see that Aria arrived at the hotel around 4:20 am without Ezra. Spencer says that just because Aria came back alone after Charlotte was murdered, doesn't mean she killed her; Hanna says that it doesn't but it just doesn't look good for Aria. Emily asks if they should erase the video and Hanna says that they aren't in high school anymore: they need to talk to Aria. Emily points out that Aria won't tell them anything but Spencer says she doesn't have a choice this time as they have the footage.
Later on, Aria walks into her house and sees the girls waiting for her; she asks how they knew she was back and Emily says that she saw her at The Brew. They reveal that they know that Aria left the hotel for more than just five minutes before Charlotte died and came back after Charlotte was dead. Hanna demands that Aria tell them what happened.
Aria tells them everything she and Ezra did, and says that Ezra told her he went home but he was so angry. Aria quietly gasps, causing Hanna to ask what's wrong. Aria says that she knows Ezra and Ezra can't look her in the eye when he lies and when he told her he went home, he looked away from her. Hanna says that they have to tell someone, but Emily says they shouldn't until they have concrete evidence: she believes that it's a leap saying Ezra killed someone. However, Spencer says it's not a leap and she thinks she might have, accidentally, told Ezra how to do it. Spencer tells the girls that Ezra was on his book tour and she had met up with him for lunch; he said he had been toying with the idea of a murder mystery and, since she had just finished her paper, she had told him about a murder case in detail, and the victim's death mirrored Charlotte's death. They discuss the possibility of Ezra killing someone and Hanna tells Aria that if the police do find out, it's going to look like she was involved. Aria says that no one can see the security footage.
At night, Hanna is looking at the security footage of Aria and deletes it. She gets into bed with Jordan, and briefly looks at a wedding pamphlet and then Jordan before going to sleep.
===The Gloves Are On===
Emily, Hanna and Spencer get a spa treatment at the hotel spa. Spencer asks why Aria didn't meet them; Hanna tells her to drop it because her Mom gave them this opportunity to relax. Spencer then says that it's twisted: Aria hasn't talked to Ezra in five years and if he really killed Charlotte for her, then they'll be bound together forever. Hanna tells her that it won't be, because the footage is gone. Emily and Spencer are annoyed and ask what happened to it; Hanna says it doesn't matter, and Spencer and Emily walk out.
At The Brew, Hanna bumps into Lucas who is surprised that she is now working in high-end retail and she discovers that he is a successful and wealthy businessman. He sees the ring on her finger and asks if Caleb finally proposed, but she tells him that they broke up a few years back and that she and her fiance Jordan live in New York. She adds that she and Caleb are still friends. She gets a text, and tells Lucas that she has to leave and asks to use his car.
At The Radley, Hanna is talking to her Mom, who asks if Hanna or her friends had anything to do with the footage being deleted. Hanna denies any involvement, as she's not in high school anymore. While her Mom is reading a note from Lorenzo saying she needs to come in for questioning and that there is confirmation that the tape was deleted, Hanna sees Aria walk in with Ezra. She asks her Mom why she needs to be questioned, Ashley reminds her that they're investigating a murder of a victim that tortured Hanna and she shouldn't look so surprised that they'd question her.
Hanna shows up at Spencer's interview to speak with her; Spencer excuses herself and Hanna tells her that her Mom is in trouble. She's worried that the detectives will eventually be able to trace it back to them, since the Rosewood Police now have a list of all the guests who stayed at the hotel that night. Spencer dismisses her, saying her Mom can't do anything now as she's now a political candidate not an attorney. Hanna warns her "Someone was murdered and you're gonna get questioned. We all are."
Hanna visits Lucas at his flat. He warmly greets her and she asks him if he was there the night Charlotte was killed. He asks why she wants to know and she tells him that she and the Liars got wasted and stayed in the hotel room, but the police think they snuck out and killed Charlotte. She asks if he is willing to lie and be her alibi for the time-frame Charlotte was killed and of the missing footage. He is surprised so she tries to retract the favor, but he says that she needs him so he's there for her.
Spencer shows up at Hanna's house to apologize for dismissing her so quickly. Hanna tells her that it's okay because Lucas is going to help by being their alibi. Hanna gets a phone call from Jordan, but declines it telling Spencer she'll call him back. Spencer sees how happy Hanna is, then asks if it's weird when she sees Caleb; Hanna says that she's getting married, so it isn't, and wonders why people keep asking about Caleb. Spencer quietly says that she didn't realize anyone else had; Hanna is a little shocked and asks if she has feelings for Caleb. Spencer stays quiet and looks down, causing Hanna to ask if they hooked up when they met in Spain. Spencer is quick to assure that she didn't; she wouldn't do that to Hanna, then says that she doesn't know if he feels the same way. Hanna tells her that she thinks Spencer should find out.
At Aria's house, Hanna tells Emily and Aria that they already grilled her Mom. Emily tells her that Lorenzo isn't Wilden and isn't going to make Ali's friends look bad, but Hanna interrupts and asks if either of them have heard from Ali since the dinner. Aria shows a lot of care about Ezra, but, surrounding the book he needs to write. An annoyed Hanna asks why she's so worried about Ezra's book, instead of asking him what he did in the time frame that Charlotte was killed. Emily's alarm on her phone goes off and she excuses herself to use the bathroom before meeting her Mom. Hanna asks Aria what she'll say when the police question her: "Are you telling them that you met up with Fitz?", and Aria says she isn't and that she was asleep the whole time. Hanna drops her yogurt container in the bin and Aria asks her to drop it in the bin in the kitchen instead. She picks it back out and heads to the kitchen.
As Hanna makes her way to the kitchen to throw it out, she sees Emily injecting herself with a needle. Emily notices her in a mirror and closes the door. Emily walks back out of the bathroom and Hanna asks if she's leaving, which she affirms as she has work emails to get out. Hanna questions Emily about the needles, asking if she's sick. Emily says she isn't, but she is broke. It turns out that Emily lied about working at the Salk Institute and that the last few years were harder than she made them sound: she left school and blew through the money that her father left her. One of the girls that she bar-tended with told her about donating her eggs for IVF babies; Emily needs to inject herself with hormones before the procedure is done. Hanna says that she doesn't have to go through that as she could just lend her some money. Emily says that, for the first time in forever, she feels good about a choice that she made: she's going to help a couple start a family. Hanna says that she wishes Emily had told her sooner, and whatever couple Emily helps will be the luckiest couple in the world.
Later, at the Police Station, Hanna is being questioned by Lorenzo, who finds it difficult to believe that she reached out to someone she hadn't talked to in five years; Hanna says that she and Lucas are close and that none of the other girls were awake for their late night snack. Lorenzo invites Lucas into the room and says that Hanna doesn't remember inviting him into the room. Lucas says that she didn't and that there was a man leaving as he got there, but didn't get a good look at him. Lorenzo asks why Lucas was so eager to drop off food in the middle of the night and Lucas merely replies that Hanna called and he was happy to hear her voice. Hanna said that they talked until the sun came up and, when Lorenzo asks if Lucas had been drinking, Lucas says he hadn't had anything other than ice water. Lorenzo asks if he left the room, causing Lucas to say that he went down the hall to the ice machine. However, Lorenzo catches him out: Radley doesn't have an ice machine on the third floor. Hanna and Lucas look uneasy, but it's implied that Lucas lies his way out.
At night, Emily, Hanna and Spencer head to Ezra's apartment; Hanna asks Ezra if Aria's already here, and Ezra knows why they're here and sarcastically says "Do come in, enjoy the party. Anybody bring torches, pitchforks, anything like that?". Hanna tells Ezra that he didn't protect Aria by killing Charlotte, she did by erasing the footage but they won't go down for this because he thought that he had to "slay the dragon"; Spencer tries to stop Hanna from going further, but Hanna says that he needs to own up to what he did. Spencer says that Ezra could say it was self defense, because Charlotte had a history of throwing the first punch and no one would question him. Ezra comments that they already seem to have all of the answers without asking him questions. Emily says that it wasn't some random car that hit Charlotte: someone planned it to make it seem like she killed herself. Spencer reveals that she might have told him how to do it and circles back to her paper. Ezra tells them to leave, but Emily says they aren't going anywhere until he's honest with them. Ezra is mad and tells them they're not asking him to change a grade for them; they want him to confess to a murder. Emily asks Ezra where he went after he left Aria. Ezra reaches maximum anger and shouts at the girls to leave, making all four of them jump. The girls leave as Hanna tells Aria and Ezra that they better figure this out before the police do.
Next, Hanna shows up at Lucas's flat again apologizing for asking him to lie and be her alibi. He says she doesn't have to answer him, but asks if she had anything to do with Charlotte falling off the bell tower. She says that she didn't, but that he is braver than her Mom; who wanted to ask Hanna the same question, but was afraid of an affirmative answer. After Hanna says that waking up in her old room gets harder every day, Lucas gives her the keys to his flat, since he'll be leaving for San Jose, and tells her that she can stay as long as she wants.
===New Guys, New Lies===
Spencer wakes up and looks at her phone and sees texts from Hanna and Emily asking where she is, and letting her know that she needs to meet them at The Radley, Aria texts her asking her "Did you get that text?", before she can respond, she sees it, a new "A" seems to have emerged with their first threat: "You know who did it and I'm going to make you talk".
Spencer rushes over to The Radley where she sees the other girls and apologizes saying that she was prepping for a meeting and turned her phone off. Spencer demands to know who sent that text and Emily says "someone who has a new number", whereas Aria suggests Alison is the new "A" as Aria is on the top of Alison's suspect list. They discuss the possibility of it being Sara Harvey, with Spencer saying that perhaps she came to pay respects for her mentor (Charlotte) and not her tormentor (as she lied about being Charlotte's victim). Hanna suggests that it might just be a phone tech who has too much time on his hands, then goes on to say how much she misses New York and Blue Bottle Coffee, "One cup and you feel like you can handle anything your boss throws at you.". She begins to list objects and Emily questions, "Your boss literally throws things at you?", Hanna silently affirms. She grabs her phone and says that she lied to Lorenzo and he knows it, then texts the number asking if she knows them. The girls predict that the person won't respond, but a message bubble soon pops up saying "YES".
Emily calls Alison to ask her whereabouts, The Liars cross Alison off their list of suspicions. Spencer points out that whoever the person is they believe that the girls know who killed Charlotte and they want them to rat the killer out. Hanna tells them they do know who killed Charlotte and looks at Aria, implying Ezra as the killer. Aria doesn't believe he did it but Spencer sides with Hanna. Byron (Aria's Dad) arrives at The Radley, Hanna comments to Aria that he probably booked a room. They receive a second anonymous text: "I found what they're looking for. Tell me who it belongs to", with a picture of the sole of a nine iron attached. Aria questions if they really believe it's the actual murder weapon. Spencer counter-questions "Does Ezra play golf?".
Hanna FaceTimes Jordan, who tells her that he's at the airport and she says that she'll meet him on the runway. Emily tells her, "he's charming, handsome, and he adores you.", and asks why she hasn't set a wedding date, since she's been engaged for almost a year. Hanna says that she thinks she's finally ready to do that and that she told Spencer it was okay for her and Caleb to get together, which shocks Emily as she asks if Hanna is really okay with that. Hanna replies that when she got back to town, she just spun and twirled but Jordan keeps her grounded and she likes how that feels. When Emily asks when the wedding is, Hanna says that she's been honest about everything in her life but lied to him about sneaking out to delete the security footage but will tell Jordan the truth and if he still wants to marry her, then she'll be ready.
At the Marin household Hanna talks to Ashley, who tells her that she's going to meet with Spencer. Hanna comes clean that she erased the security footage from the night that Charlotte was murdered, which disappoints Ashley, but assures her Mom that they had nothing to do with the murder. Ashley asks Hanna why she couldn't leave the footage alone. Hanna admits that she screwed up, but she did it for Aria. Ashley reminds Hanna she isn't in high school anymore, she doesn't owe them anything. Hanna tells her they are her friends and says: "No evidence, no crime. Right?". Ashley informs her the security company have backs ups at a place called The Farm, so if the police got a hold of the back-up, they would see the erased footage. Hanna asks if they can get it before the cops do, but Ashley insists that they can't.
Hanna apologizes to Jordan after telling him the truth, more for lying to him than erasing the footage. She tearfully says that she understands if he doesn't want to marry her anymore, but he asks if he really thought he'd let this come between them. He knows that she screwed up, but acknowledges that she was protecting her friend and that that is one of the many things he loves about her. He then says that she's the most loyal person he's ever met and that's why he wants to spend the rest of his life with her, then hands her a tissue. She promises to be honest about everything from now on, then receives a text saying "When the cops come calling you better not squeal about me". Spencer calls her letting her know that she got a text and hopes that she told Jordan because she wants to tell Caleb. Hanna asks if they're together; Spencer affirms they had sex, and Hanna is upset, but tells Spencer that it was a knee jerk reaction, and she is fine. Spencer says she'll get Caleb's help so Hanna can tell Jordan everything.
Jordan calls an attorney named Shari Rosenthal, who speaks to Hanna and Jordan; she tells Hanna she may not have killed Charlotte, but she did fake an alibi and tamper with evidence in a murder investigation. Hanna asks if she's screwed, but Shari says "Only if they can prove you did it", to which Hanna confesses she did. "I'm the only person you're going to tell that to", Shari says, and tells Hanna that she has to tell her everything because there can't be any surprises. Hanna looks at the last anonymous text again and lies, saying that they know everything she does.
Hanna and Jordan go to the police station; Shari tells Hanna that the only words she has to say when answering questions are "yes", "no", and "I don't recall". Hanna says that he'll know she's lying, but Shari says that it doesn't matter if he can't prove it. Shari then walks in to speak with an angry Lorenzo, then walks out and says that Hanna is free to go for now. Hanna asks what happened and Shari says that the security company lost the backup drive. Jordan asks if she did that, which she denies and Lorenzo watches them leave.
Aria is on the phone with Hanna in The Radley and tells her that her Mom just got into the elevator. Hanna goes into Ashley's office and sees that her Mom is logged out. Aria hands the phone to Caleb who helps her decode the password: her birthday. Before hanging up, Hanna tells him that she's happy that Spencer told him about the texts. Caleb says that there is someone else who is seeking justice for Charlotte and asks if Aria is sure that Ali is out of town. Aria says she isn't sure of anything anymore; Caleb reassures her that guys don't always have full sets of golf clubs, maybe her Dad never had a 9 iron. Emily skeptically asks "And that just happens to be the golf club this Not "A" has?", causing Caleb to say "I was trying to be a calming influence Emily", and she apologizes.
Hanna meets up with them and tells Aria that neither Byron nor Ezra are staying at The Radley; Caleb asks about Sara, but Hanna says that she has had a "Do Not Disturb" sign on her door for the past two days and asked that no one enter the room while she's gone. Emily questions Sara's motives for booking the room, Hanna humorously responds "I'll take "Building a lair" for 300 Alex". Spencer walks over to Emily, Aria and Caleb and asks how she did. Aria hands her her phone and they realize that the tile floor in the picture with the murder weapon means that the person is staying at the Radley. Aria receives a phone call from her Dad and Hanna and Caleb simultaneously tell her to answer it. She does and he says that he knows she's with her friends but he needs to see her alone.
===Do Not Disturb===
Jordan tries to neaten up the loft and Hanna tells him he's making a lot of noise and none of it sounds like he's making an omelette. Jordan tells her that the car will be there in five minutes and they overslept. Hanna says that they should've gone to bed earlier and Jordan playfully asks "What fun is a sleepover if we actually sleep?" then says that they can stop for coffee. Hanna gets an anonymous text saying "I get that drive or you get a broken heart. Clock is ticking..." and she tells Jordan that she needs to make some calls so she may need to go up later. She says she needs to be near a landline because she has a lot of things she needs to confirm. Hanna apologizes for changing last minute, but Jordan says it's okay and that he'll see her later. She gives him his tie and they share a kiss before Emily walks in on them, who tells Hanna that her Mom was driving her nuts.
Hanna asks Emily what she told Pam, causing Emily to ask Hanna if she knows that she can never call her Mom "Pam" to her face; she then tells Hanna that she told her Mom that they were still narrowing down bridesmaids' dresses, even though Hanna hasn't asked them yet, then asks if she will. Hanna tells Emily that she has a lot more to worry about than that and asks if Emily needs her to drive her. Emily says that they have a service, they just want to make sure that there's someone who will help her get settled into bed after. Hanna offers to mash up Emily's jello the way she likes it, but notices that Emily is nervous. Emily says that she's weirded out by the text; Hanna asks if she means the one from Aria, but says that if Byron and Ella get remarried then Aria won't have to testify against him if he is guilty.
Emily asks if she missed the memo where they call people's parents by their first name, and asks if Hanna got a text from Alison, who denies it. She tells Hanna that Alison is back and reached out to her alone, figuring that Emily would come and hear her out. Emily then rambles on about how she's not going to do it; she can't, she complains to the point where she almost has no breath to complain. Hanna asks "are you gonna breathe or just keep talking until you pass out?". Emily blames the hormones and asks if she can keep them in check because her boss is calling. Her boss needs gum because she likes to chew when she's stressed and Hanna tells her to ask her manicurist to look in the drawer before asking if she needs anything else. She tells Hanna to call to get the models switched out to all Asians as they're more "chic".
Ashley walks into the kitchen where she sees Hanna. Hanna wants to know if her Mom will tell her the truth if she asks her something. Hanna asks why she stole the back-up. Ashley pretends like she doesn't know what Hanna is talking about, but Hanna doesn't believe the fact that the tape went missing the same day she told her Mom about it could be a coincidence. After some berating on Hanna's part, Ashley tells her to just be grateful that her mistake has been erased and to focus on wedding cakes.
Hanna says she won't bring it up again, then leaves. Ashley looks around before leaving as well; we then see Hanna walk back into the kitchen and Aria helps her look for the drive. Later, Hanna asks Aria if she seriously let Sara Harvey trick them into making a mess of every room in her Mom's house. Aria questions if Hanna's Mom may have actually been telling the truth but Hanna tells Aria "Sara wouldn't have asked for it unless she really thought it was here." Aria questions if it's really Sara but Hanna questions who else it could be. Aria says that since she thinks that they have the drive, they should pretend to give it to her.
We then see Hanna in the Hastings barn meeting with Caleb. She sends a text saying that she found the drive and wants to know where to make the drop. Caleb says that this will pass for the real drive and he's glad she came to him, and that she can always come to him. Spencer walks into the room and says that she did something out of practice: Yvonne left her phone and she didn't give it back. Caleb grabs her hands and says that it's a good thing because they can use it to find out who's sending the texts. Hanna sees this gesture and looks upset, then leaves to answer a call from her boss.
Aria is on the phone with Hanna, who says that she booked online because she didn't want Ashley asking questions. Aria sees the "Do Not Disturb" sign on Sara's door and hears the Jeopardy theme song playing; she thinks that Sara is inside and tells Hanna she'll call her later, before walking into her hotel room. Hanna in an alley reading a text saying "Leave my present in the alley off of 7th and Cook. Brown trash can". She sends a text to someone saying that Sara should be there soon, then leaves the bag in the garbage can and answers a call from her boss. She leaves the alley, failing to notice a black car parked nearby.
Hanna goes to work, but discovers that her boss hired a new assistant and put all of Hanna's things in a box. Hanna sees the way Claudia treats the new assistant and says that she can't talk to people that way. Claudia shows no remorse, causing Hanna to say that she does everything and then some for her but all she does is get torn apart. Claudia says that she'll have to start over at the bottom and demands she apologizes; she might consider having her be a second assistant. Hanna challenges: "Is that the best you've got? If you're trying to scare me into staying, you're gonna have to do way better" and Claudia says that a bunch of girls are waiting to take her place and Hanna says: "Great, let them. I've been pushed around by a lot worse than you" and walks out.
In a car, Jordan tells Hanna that he's happy she stood up for herself, but Hanna's afraid that Claudia will blackball her. He says that he's sure he could make some calls and have her ten interviews by Monday. Hanna says that she doesn't want their wedding announcement to say that she's unemployed; Jordan tells her that they can go back to their apartment or Rosewood, but she asks if they can just keep driving.
===Where Somebody Waits For Me===
Hanna and Jordan lay in a heart-shaped bed under the covers; she says that she thought places like this only existed in old movies and asks how he found out about the place and he says he searched "romantic" and then "tacky". Jordan asks if she's feeling better, and she says she is. He then asks if she wants any budget champagne, she affirms but says that they should give Cupid something to remember before getting on top of him to have sex again.
Hanna wakes up alone and discovers a bunch of texts from Emily, Aria and Spencer telling her that she needs to meet with them. She puts a bathrobe on and calls out for Jordan, but gets no answer aside from a knock on the door. She opens it and sees Jordan, who has a tray of food and asks if she ordered breakfast. He tells her that he went downstairs to make some calls without waking her. A scared Hanna hugs him and tells him not to leave without telling her, then says that they need to go back to Rosewood. He says that he'll make some calls and offers her breakfast, but she tells him she didn't order any. After he walks away, she looks at the note-card next to the tray and opens it: "The honeymoon is over".
Emily talks to Hanna about the fact that a group of donated eggs got destroyed at the facility and her eggs were included. Emily says that she was actually looking forward to giving someone her egg to have a baby and Hanna apologizes. Hanna tells Emily that she should stay with her because she has so much going on; Emily takes her up on the offer. Hanna says to Emily that when she passed the "Welcome to Rosewood" sign, she wondered why they kept coming back and why they couldn't stay away. She asks why the anonymous texter wanted the girls to lead them to Charlotte's killer and Emily says it's because they know the girls wanted Charlotte dead, so they think they'd know who killed her. Emily tells Hanna that maybe the person who killed Charlotte did it because they thought that's what they wanted. Hanna asks what kind of nut would think that; Emily quietly says "The kind who would hold my eggs for ransom and destroy a freezer full of potential babies just to get them".
Jordan asks what happened at the clinic. She tells him that it was a mechanical failure and he asks if she believes it. Hanna becomes annoyed and says: "Okay, so she's not hormonal. She's paranoid, is that what you meant?", and Jordan realizes she's annoyed and tells her that he's worried about her and she says that she's had a rough couple of days. Hanna tells him: "I buried someone who made my life hell for years. I'm now being questioned in her murder, I lost my job-", he cuts her off and tells her that the person who hurt them is dead and that if she keeps looking for things in the shadows, she'll find them. He then asks her to come back to New York with him, but she says that she can't because Emily needs her, to counter that he asks: "Yeah? What does Hanna need?".
Hanna and Caleb are at The Brew. Caleb says that it isn't their fault about what happened to Emily because bullies don't need an excuse; he adds that "A" was probably planning on doing this when they discovered what Emily was doing. Hanna points out that he called the new anonymous person "A", and he asks what she wants him to call them: "Waldo?". She says that it's not an "A", and Caleb says that even though it's not the same person, they want the same thing: for them to be miserable. He says that they're stronger and smarter and they know that they can beat this person because they've done it before. After talking for a little longer, Caleb tells Hanna that he has to take care of some things and starts to take out his wallet; Hanna stops him, saying: "Next time", and he echos the sentiment before leaving. Hanna dejectedly watches him leave.
Aria and Hanna walk down a narrow hallway at The Radley discussing Sara taking Emily's eggs. They hear a noise coming from behind the door and wonder if it's Sara. Hanna opens the door and the two storm in and try to fight off the "intruder", but see Emily instead. Back in The Radley lobby, Emily tells Aria that she wanted to see if there was a freezer in there but there was nothing.
Aria asks why she didn't just tell them; they would have gone with her, but Emily says that she wanted to go alone in case she found them. Hanna walks over and tells them that no one has seen Sara since she left the hotel the night before. Emily says she just has to face it: her eggs are gone; Hanna tells her that she still has the money, so she can finish school just like she planned.
===We've All Got Baggage===
Hanna, Emily, and Alison search Sara's messy hotel room. Emily searches the closet for the hole that Hanna and Emily found. Both Emily and Hanna are shocked to discover that there is no longer a hole in her closet, causing Alison to defend Sara. An annoyed Emily tells her Sara has two faces: caring about Charlotte and torturing them. They hear a door open and hide in the closet. Housekeeping arrives, Alison suggests they leave. However, Emily continues to find the hole and Hanna tells her to stop, but Emily continues because she thinks Alison doesn't believe it exists. Alison tells them she just doesn't get why Sara Harvey would stalk them. Emily reminds her Sara thinks they know who killed Charlotte. When the housekeeper walks into another room, the girls make their escape and the door closes; the person walks back into the room, they heard the girls conversation, and throw their face disguise onto the cleaning supplies.
At Hanna's apartment, Hanna tells Ella that her wedding dress hasn't even hit the stores yet: she called in a favor. Upon seeing all of the dresses, Ella asks if she brought all of them back from New York and Hanna says that she tried to grab everything she could without seeing her former boss. Her phone rings and Ella tells her to answer it, saying that she feels guilty when Hanna has her own wedding to plan, but Hanna says that she's technically at work so won't answer. Ella tells her she and Byron haven't set a date yet. Hanna asks if she wants to try anything on or if she struck out, but Ella tells her that she did a great job. She states that when she and Byron first got married, they rented a barn and dressed up like cowhands, but now she wants to be elegant. Ella asks what Hanna has for more choices, but is shocked when she reveals that she hasn't decided, especially since Ashley sent out shower invitations, but Hanna diverts the conversation back to Ella's wedding.
At the Montgomery house, Hanna shows Ella a black dress with sequins. Ella says that it's gorgeous and Hanna adds that she found a simple veil to wear with it to add a little mystery. Ella says that the mystery will be how she's going to walk in the dress. Hanna says that she will hem it and asks her to try it on with the veil, but Ella doesn't want anything to detract from the dress. Hanna asks if she can do the tables and Ella allows her to before leaving to try on the dress. Aria walks into the living room and Hanna tells her to go back outside because it's bad luck to see the bride. Aria corrects Hanna that it's bad luck for the groom. Hanna says that she's styling it so they'll both be working the party. Aria asks if it's weird because Caleb and Spencer will be there. Hanna says that she doesn't have a issue with them and compliments their newfound relationship.
At Hanna's apartment, Emily tells Hanna she's going to a lecture with one of her classmates to earn some brownie points with the professor. Emily tells her that they may be getting tormented for something Melissa did, explaining that Melissa may have called Charlotte from the diner and lured her out in the middle of the night. Hanna says Melissa was in London; Emily says that that's what Spencer thinks, but Caleb doesn't. Emily then gets a video call request from Damian, her classmate, after they're done, Hanna says that he looks familiar, causing Emily to ask if she's ever bought used books from Hollis. Hanna tells her that Emily's Hollis books actually just got delivered, confusing Emily as she didn't order any. She opens the box and the first book is called: "What to Name the Baby"; They realize that the box is from the stalker, with a bookmark that says: "You need to start talking before our baby does".
Hanna walks into The Brew and admits to Spencer and Caleb that she believes Melissa could have Killed Charlotte because she saw Melissa years ago in London. Hanna has a flashback: when Melissa and Hanna were in London, Melissa lived nearby and walked into a bathroom that Hanna was in. Melissa told Hanna Wren left her as Charlotte started messing with her life. She rhetorically asks Hanna if she's curious what Charlotte could use against her. She takes Hanna's phone and tries to call Charlotte's hospital to ask for her, disguising herself as Alison, saying that someone needs to shut her up for good.
Hanna grabs the phone and throws it at the mirror. Melissa states that Hanna hasn't forgiven Charlotte deep down. Back in the present, Caleb asks why Hanna never said anything. Spencer realizes why and tells Caleb that Hanna didn't want someone else agreeing with Melissa: she hadn't moved on. Hanna asks if she can find out if Melissa called the diner that night as well as what the Hollis blogger's name was.
Back with Ella, Hanna fixes Ella's dress and asking if she has eaten yet. Ella says she doesn't remember and asks what day it is, causing Hanna to say that it's her wedding day and that she should stop being nervous: she and Byron have been through it all already. Ella says that when Byron walks into the room, she feel like she's nineteen again. Hanna says that people who are meant to be together take a little break and then find their way back to their first love, causing Ella to say that Byron wasn't her first love and tells Hanna about her first love. Ella adds that she thought they'd be together forever, but they graduated high school and grew up. Hanna gets a call from Jordan, she tells Ella she'll call him back, although now seems unsure about him.
At Ella and Byron's wedding, Aria is her parents officiator and gives a speech as part of the ceremony: "Who are we when we're alone and who are we when we are with this other person? Are we really ready to be with another person before we truly know ourselves?", and states that her parents know who they are and who they want. Due to Aria's words, Hanna begins to nervously doubt her and Jordan's relationship.
Back at home, Hanna is cleaning up the apartment when she spots a wedding veil and tries it on, looking at herself in the window. She calls Jordan and leaves a voice mail for him saying that she's sorry she hasn't called back, but she's been in full wedding mode then clarifies that she means someone else's; she then adds that for theirs, she thinks she picked a wedding date and asks how May 17th sounds to him. She tells him to call her back and adds that she loves him, smiling, before looking at the window again.
Emily comes over to Hanna's to tell her that someone came after her and almost ran her over. Hanna asks if it was Sara but Emily doesn't believe it was. Sara wants the murder solved and the person who tried to hurt wants to cover it up. Hanna asks how Emily knows, causing Emily to say it's because she may have found the weapon and they were willing to kill her to get it back. Hanna asks if there is more than one person after them now and Emily says that there are definitely two.
===Burn This===
Hanna and Aria talk about Elliot and Alison's marriage. Hanna says that she barely even knows Elliot's name and now he's married to Ali; Aria reminds her Alison has known him for years. Hanna rhetorically questions if their marriage is their second date. Hanna begins eating a slice of cake, but Aria stops her because someone else was eating it before. Aria comments that Alison and Elliot are romantic. Emily walks in and tells them romance has nothing to do with it: Ali's desperate for a family. Hanna says that maybe Ali is just smart: if they elope, no one can throw a bridal shower. Aria asks Hanna what she has against bridal showers, Hanna reminds her they have a stalker.
Emily says that Spencer isn't answering the phone, causing Aria to say that she's probably still dealing with the fall out from the leak about Yvonne. Emily says that there is no way Spencer's parents believe that Caleb caused it, but Aria says they should be glad that they do: if they knew there was a new "A", they'd go to the police, which would put targets on their backs. Emily decides that Melissa tried to run her over, but Hanna isn't sure. Aria shows them pictures from the wedding. She is surprised to notice that she is in one, she zooms in and they see three messages: "Give me the killer", "By Election Night", "Or You Lose", written on placement cards in the photos.
In the Marin household, Ashley holds up a game called "Are You Naughty? or Nice?" for Hanna's bachelorette party and asks Hanna if it's too risqué. Hanna says that maybe they should just cancel and reschedule, causing Ashley to say that it's tomorrow and that she has friends coming in from New York. Hanna says that she also has friends who already left: Alison. Ashley says that maybe now she can invite Mona, since it's been years since she and her friends have all been in the same place; Hanna reminds her that it's because of a murder investigation. Ashley tells her that they all need this and it will be a good distraction.
Emily decorates for Hanna's bridal shower and she tells Hanna that she called the auto-shop, but didn't get an answer. Hanna asks if she's going to go over there and pretend like she's going to "trick out" her sedan. Emily tells her that she's going to call the police when she finds out that Melissa borrowed the sedan. Ashley walks in asking for Hanna's help in turning on the air. She says that she tried to turn on the oven earlier and Beyoncé started playing.
As Hanna starts working on getting the air on, Ashley tells her that she saw Caleb earlier and made an offer for him to stay in the guest room if Hanna doesn't mind. Hanna says that she does mind and asks why Ashley's going to let him stay. Ashley states that he didn't have anywhere else to go. They get into an argument about Caleb. Hanna brings up Jordan and tells Ashley she prefers Caleb over Jordan. Ashley tells her that she just doesn't know Jordan as well, Hanna tells her she doesn't spend enough time with him to know him well. Ashley says that she's invited them both back on multiple occasions, but Hanna ends the conversation.
Hanna's friends are at her shower. Emily says that she doesn't get it: if Sara was framing them, then why was Aria free to go? Aria says that maybe that's what Tanner meant when she says the police don't act on every accusation right away. Hanna rhetorically asks if all they can do is wait for the other shoe to drop. Ashley walks over and tells Hanna she can't neglect her other guests, then suggests that she lead the group in some icebreakers. Hanna says she will, as soon as Spencer gets there, causing Ashley to ask where she is.
Spencer arrives at Hanna's shower, she tells the girls her father said Melissa was blackmailed. Aria questions how valid that is. Emily questions if it would be more of a reason Melissa would want Charlotte dead. Spencer says that it would, but Charlotte was still on lock-down when Melissa made her first payment; whoever is threatening them could be the same person who blackmailed Melissa. Hanna doesn't think that Melissa borrowed the SUV, causing Emily to say that they're left with nothing then.
Aria says that they have the eyewitness report, Emily comments: "A hot brunette with a cheesy key-chain? That's half this party". Ashley clinks a glass and asks the women to sit on the sofa so Hanna can open her presents. Mona arrives and offers Hanna a present: the wedding dream book they made in eighth grade. Hanna can't believe that Mona kept it and Ashley invites Mona in.
After the presents are opened, They play a version of 21 Questions: "How Well Do You Know the Bride and Groom?". Aria quietly asks why Mona is here since she and Spencer had it out at The Brew. Emily skeptically says that she brought a gift, causing Spencer to add: "Yeah, and an axe to grind". Ashley asks Emily if she knows how Jordan and Hanna met but she doesn't. Ashley then asks Spencer, who also doesn't know. Hanna ends the game and checks her tablet and wonders what's wrong with it when it won't respond to her touch. An alarm, the same one from the Dollhouse, blares, and loud rock music plays; Ashley tells her to fix it, but her tablet malfunctioned and she doesn't know how to stop it. Spencer takes the tablet from her but the lights shut off. Emily asks what's happening, but no one knows. Ashley tries turning the lights on, but it's the air conditioner, which blows everything around; one of the present bags falls over. Aria walks over to pick the bag up but, as she does, the fireplace lights up and burns her. Aria is taken to the Emergency Room with second degree burns.
Ashley and Hanna silently sit in the hospital. Hanna soon apologizes for being a Bridezilla and says that she's the one who hasn't been including Jordan enough in her life. Ashley asks Hanna why she's iced out Mona, also questioning why Mona wasn't invited to the bridal shower. Ashley asks if something's happened between the two of them since the investigation started into Charlotte's murder, Hanna says that she's not sure of what Mona has been up to. Ashley asks what she means, but Hanna says it's nothing before leaving to get them some coffee.
===Did You Miss Me?===
We then see Hanna on the phone with Jordan, while Lucas runs diagnostics on a tablet. She says that it's a good idea to stay in Rosewood because, if she was in New York, she'd just be thinking about Aria and the others. She adds that they're her friends and says that she'll call him later. Lucas looks up and asks if he'll get an invitation to her wedding, then adds that he was half-expecting to meet Jordan when he came back. Hanna says that Jordan is a little phobic of small towns, causing Lucas to say that he used to think that but big cities changed his mind. Hanna then gives Lucas a gift, in the form of a few ties, thanking him for letting her stay there: she also wrote post-it notes saying which tie goes with what. Lucas talks about how he came back because he wanted to look for property, then adds that maybe he's giving Rosewood a second chance. Hanna agrees saying that they left so fast that they didn't realize what they left behind, and they share a smile.
Spencer shows a picture of Alison in a hospital gown to Aria, Hanna and Emily; she says that Alison said it was an accident, then asks if they believe that. Hanna sarcastically says, "As much as I believe that Aria being seared was an accident", causing Spencer to say that two of the five of them being in the hospital is 40%: 60% if you count what happened to Emily's eggs. They agree that the odds aren't going to get better the closer they get to election night, which is three days away. Hanna says that she wants to check up on Ali, causing Aria to say that she's supposed to be back tomorrow. Emily says that she should be going the other way, and Spencer says that she should check up on her but not to freak her out. Spencer says it might be best if she stays away until after the election. Aria asks what they're supposed to do about Mona, causing Spencer to say that they keep a close eye on her. Hanna insists that Mona couldn't have killed Charlotte, causing Spencer to say that Mona has changed herself so many times that she doubts she could recognize herself. Hanna rhetorically asks who hasn't tried to reinvent themselves a couple times, then leaves to go visit Ali.
Alison in the hospital and Hanna looking at flowers before asking if Ali felt dizzy. Ali says that she felt fine and then her feet were there but the stairs weren't. Hanna apologizes, causing Ali to say that it was a stupid accident before jokingly asking if she likes her honeymoon lingerie. Hanna laughs and says that she looks great; Ali then tells her that the doctors are springing her back to Rosewood as Elliott is wanted on a panel for a conference, causing Hanna to ask if she'll be alone. Ali says she doesn't mind because, for the first time, the house feels like it's hers. Hanna jokingly asks if she fell down the stairs or entered the Rose Parade, prompting Ali to say that Elliott sent them. Hanna is surprised that he sent them all, then greets Elliott who walks in with flowers. Ali tells Elliott that he should know that they stick together, then the two talk as Hanna walks over to look at the flowers. She sees a card with a staircase on them and opens it to find drawings of the five girls with red 'X's through Alison, Emily, and Aria's faces, before folding the card and putting it in her purse.
Back at the hospital outside Ali's room, Elliott thanks Hanna for coming and says that they weren't expecting it. Hanna says that no one likes being in a hospital, especially not one away from home, before asking if it's okay. Elliott assures Hanna that he checked out the staff and that Ali is getting the best help. Before Hanna walks off, Elliott says that he's just starting to understand how loyal she is to Ali and that the way they look out for each other is remarkable. Hanna asks him to have Ali call her if she needs anything and he agrees before walking back into her room.
Hanna shows Caleb the card she found and asks if she's wrong. He asks if Ali or Elliott saw this and she says she's pretty sure they didn't. Hanna says that whoever this is isn't going to wait until election night: they're going to chip away at them until there's nothing left. He asks if she said anything about Ali's accident, which she hasn't, and she says she wanted to speak with him first because he's the only one who can help her with this. He asks what she's talking about and she says that it's time they call this person's bluff: they need to offer up Charlotte's killer.
Spencer greets Hanna and Caleb and asks about Ali. Hanna says she's okay and adds that it wasn't an accident. Spencer tells them that Sara is back at The Radley as of today: she checked in under a fake name and is looking for something. She adds that the tube contains plans for The Radley; Hanna tells Spencer that the night Charlotte was killed, when they were asleep, she left the room and followed Aria and Ezra. She saw Charlotte walk into the church, and followed. Charlotte was praying alone, she picked up a candle stick before stabbing her in the back of the neck with the end of it. She then brought Charlotte to the bell tower and threw her off before going back to the hotel. She stole the security drive because she was on it. Hanna regains her composure and tells Caleb that Spencer believed it, and if Spencer believed her, the cops will. A confused Spencer demands an explanation. Caleb tells Spencer Hanna figured out a way to end the game.
Emily comes over and tells them the idea is crazy. Hanna says that they're building a rat trap, causing Emily to remind her that she's the cheese. Emily asks what if "A" sends her to the police, but Caleb doesn't think that "A" would go through all that just to hand it to the police. Emily asks what Spencer thinks. Spencer's happy that someone else came up with a plan because she's exhausted. Emily asks if it can work and Spencer says that it could; she'll work on things from the Sara angle and if they're lucky, they'll catch "A". Emily emphasizes that "IF" and Spencer says that Hanna has the plan and Caleb has the "know how", so if they don't back them up then they'll just do it by themselves. Emily looks at Caleb and Hanna and asks if it's true, they affirm and Hanna grabs Caleb's hand. A jealous Spencer gets up to get more wine and Caleb says that he can get most of what he needs from the shelf, but for the other stuff it would help if he could talk to Toby. Emily walks over to Spencer and quietly asks if Hanna knows the risk, Spencer affirms she does. Emily asks if Spencer is going to just let them go through with the plan, Spencer questions how exactly she's supposed to stop them.
Caleb brings Hanna back to the loft. He tells her that he'll be back as fast as he can but the more he gets done tonight, the less he has to worry. The fireplace suddenly lights up, scaring Hanna and Caleb, but Lucas tells them from upstairs that he wanted to make sure it worked from anywhere in the apartment. He walks downstairs to greet Caleb, who says he would ask how he's doing but he's a stockholder so he already knows. Before Caleb leaves, Lucas asks if they can do lunch sometime and Caleb agrees. Hanna sees a picture of an empty factory and Lucas tells her that he's buying it; she asks what it will look like when it's finished and what he'll do with it. He shows her a picture of what the finished product will look like and says that he can do whatever he wants with it, before asking what she would do with it. She says indoor miniature golf, but he wants a serious answer. He says "If somebody told you that you could try anything, you know, start your own business. What would you do?". She tells him not to joke like that and he asks "Who's kidding?" and smiles. Hanna says that she would set herself up with new designers and start her own brand. Lucas says that it's a deal. A stunned Hanna is speechless and Lucas says that this will be a good way for her to keep one foot in Rosewood and figure out what she left behind. Hanna is hesitant to accept the offer, but Lucas assures her that the offer still stands and that she should talk to Jordan about it.
Caleb and Hanna fill Ezra and Aria in on their plan. Ezra asks if he can get everything ready in time and he says that he already started. Aria asks Hanna if she's sure that she wants to do this, causing her to reply that she wouldn't have thought of it if she wasn't ready to do it. Caleb says that they aren't going to take votes, but they need to know if they'll stick beside them. Spencer says that no one is going to let them do this by themselves and the others stay quiet.
Hanna grabs her phone and sends a text to the unknown number: "Leave my friends alone. I killed Charlotte.". With effects we see the text turn into numbers made up of "0" and "1", come out of Hanna's phone, through the nearest radio tower at night, and into another phone, the phone lights up. A white-gloved figure sits in a room watching Veronica Hastings campaign on their laptop, they check their phone and see Hanna's text.
===Hush, Hush, Sweet Liars===
Caleb, Ezra, and the Liars wait for a text from "A". Aria finishes a phone call with Alison and tells the group that Ali will be heading back tomorrow, but Elliott is going to a conference in Chicago. Emily says that Alison shouldn't be alone, prompting Ezra to agree that none of them should until this is over. Hanna tells them that she's typing and the response says: "If you're lying, I shoot all of you". Spencer asks Hanna if she's sure she wants to do this, Hanna tells her that the next person could be in a casket instead of a hospital bed if they don't. Spencer says that they can un-decide, prompting Hanna to snidely say that she trusts Caleb. Spencer says she does too and Hanna texts "A" back saying "It's the truth. I'll call the cops". She soon gets another text saying "No police. This is between you and me". Caleb says that Sara took the bait; Hanna sends back a text saying she needs one more day and "A" says "It'll be your last".
Emily and Caleb talk about how much the electric fence Caleb plans to build for Sara will hurt Sara, Caleb states that it's enough volts to "knock her on her ass". Emily states that she shouldn't say it but the whole things reek of irony. Hanna walks in and tells Emily that she should say it: "If we're right about Sara, she deserves more than a few volts".
At the Lost Woods Resort, Caleb says that the fence runs along the backside so they'll have a good visual of the front and assures her that they're ready for them. She hands him the screwdriver he needs and he asks if she made a decision about Lucas' offer. She says that there's a lot to think about and it's not just her, before asking what the motion sensors are for if the fence is always electric. Caleb says that they'll trigger the lights and camera so if "A"-moji realizes this is a trap, worst case scenario, they'll get a picture of her. Hanna chuckles, Caleb asks why and she tells them that the girls just didn't know what to call this person and she thinks he just solved it.
Caleb and Hanna enter a room and Hanna says that it looks like Creepy Harold walked away and never looked back. Caleb says that this kind of reminds him of a hostel he stayed at in Budapest, before he walks over to unpack. Hanna looks at Caleb and has a flashback of the time she and Caleb reached breaking point in their relationship due to Hanna's job interfering with their personal time, and significant events: Hanna had to be somewhere for her boss. Caleb tells her that she's always missing stuff because of her job. Hanna states that if she doesn't go she will get fired. Caleb alleges that she has said that many times. Hanna starts to leave. Caleb explains to her that if she goes, he won't be there when she gets back, because they're at a breaking point where he feels like her life is on a loop and he's not really a part of it anymore. Hanna tells him they will work things out, like they always do and leaves. Back in the present, Hanna watches Caleb and he stops what he's doing to ask if she's okay; she affirms, and Caleb promises she'll be safe in there.
Aria arrives at the Lost Woods asking Hanna if she needs anything, Hanna asks for whiskey and diet and Aria tells her she only has water. Ezra walks in to let them know that he'll run a test on the strobe lights, and Aria goes to help him. Caleb tells she's really brave for being the bait. Hanna tells him that he said she had nothing to worry about. He assures her, asking if he's ever let her down before. She acknowledges he hasn't, but adds that she has. He inquires her, and she mentions the night of their fight; the night they broke up. Caleb admits she made a difficult decision, Hanna reveals there's something he doesn't know: when she was in her cab, she got out in the rain and came back, but Caleb was already gone and she realized it was too late. She tells him that if she had just come back a few minutes earlier or never left, their relationship would have been okay. Caleb agrees and Hanna tells him she never stopped loving him. They kiss each other and pull away as Ezra comes in.
Aria asks Hanna if she's sure she wants to do this and Hanna says she is. Caleb says that no one followed them; they're good to go. Ezra asks if she's ready, prompting Hanna to text "A" that she's at the Lost Woods Resort and she's alone. She says that it's done and looks at Aria, Ezra and Caleb.
An unseen figure watches Aria and Ezra then spots Hanna sitting alone on the bed. Caleb sees on his tablet that someone is coming. Ezra, Aria and Caleb run to the west perimeter to try to see Sara, as the spotlights go on. Ezra says that no one is there, and stresses that they need to get back to Hanna, so they rush back to the cabin but are unable to enter the room. They call out for Hanna, but get no response. After a few short moments, they burst into the room and see that Hanna is gone. Aria states that it's impossible for her to have left, Caleb agrees that there is no way out and they look around in shock, wondering where she is. A few moments later, they are checking the floorboards, realizing that there was a secret tunnel dug deep under the floor that "A" must have kidnapped her through. Caleb is mad and admits that he should have checked the floors, Ezra, trying to take fault off of Caleb, questions who would have thought of that, Caleb angrily hits back: "A!".
After "A.D." sends a message to the gang: "Thanks for giving me Hanna. You're free to go.", at the Church in Rosewood, a figure drags Hanna's unconscious body up-with flowers in her hand-towards the bell tower.
