Lucas Granger was a major supporting character in The Perfectionists book series.
He taught a film class at Beacon Heights High School, though he was soon killed by Julie Redding (as Parker) making him the second victim of the death list.
Appearance[]
Lucas is described as an incredibly handsome, young, attractive male whom most students have a crush on. He is the youngest teacher ever hired at the school and is only a few years out of college.
Personality[]
Parker described Mr. Granger as one of those "cool, young teachers who always knew about current music, looked the other way when kids texted in class and talked about his semester abroad in Paris".
Biography[]
He graduated college only one-or-two years before he was hired at Beacon Heights High, and has a passion for film. He also started a black-and-white photography club, which was predominantly filled with admiring schoolgirls.
In "The Perfectionists", Ava arrives late to his class and they exchange witty yet unamused banter. He is considered to be one of the most handsome teachers in school - and also the youngest. He hands out the papers for the group project, and Ava is shocked to see that he gave her a low-grade of a C. She approaches him after class to discuss the grade. He slyly tells her to meet him at his house after school for extra credit, which she innocently agrees too, not thinking things through. At his house, he attempts to seduce her and get her to perform sexual acts in exchange for a higher grade. This makes Ava uncomfortable, and he makes it clear that he won't raise her grade unless she performs sexual favors for him. Ava is frightened by this and leaves Lucas' house.
Later, the Perfectionists gather evidence about Lucas and believe that Mr. Granger killed Nolan Hotchkiss. This leads to Ava having to go back to Mr. Granger and pretend to be sexually interested in him, in order to distract him while the other girls search his belongings. They later find out that Mr. Granger isn't the one who killed Nolan and, at the end of the book, that Lucas was attacked and murdered.
In "The Good Girls", Lucas, Nolan and Ashley's killer is revealed to be Julie Redding. Julie was in the midst of a personality-break and believed she was Parker Duvall, and killed Lucas to protect Ava.
