Pennsylvania is a state in the Middle Atlantic state, sitting along the Eastern seaboard of the United States of America. The state is the primary location in Pretty Little Liars, Ravenswood, and Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin.
Cities[]
Rosewood[]
Rosewood is a picturesque small town that is home to many middle and upper class individuals, with an approximate population of 7,989. It is only a few hours from its more populous counterpart, Philadelphia. Its closest towns are Brookhaven and Ravenswood, with the nearest county being Darkette County. Rosewood has its own college called Hollis College and a newspaper called The Rosewood Observer. The town made headlines in the 2010s for the disappearance of Alison DiLaurentis, the anonymous tormentor known only as "A" who terrorized a group of pretty little liars the murder of Maya St. Germain and the infamous trial surrounding the alleged murder of Mona Vanderwaal. The latter was a nationwide trial that featured many of its teen residents because of their alleged involvement in the crimes.
Brookhaven[]
Brookhaven is a small town not far from Rosewood. It is known for its eclectic and eccentric shopping destinations.
Ravenswood[]
Ravenswood is a small town approximately 20 miles from Brookhaven and Rosewood. It is named for its vast wooded area and frequent raven sightings. Ravenswood first rose to prominence during the Revolutionary War for its use as a rest station, and later as a burial ground. Its old roots gave birth to a unique atmosphere, filled with supernatural odes and events. Many of its residents believe in a curse or have inexplicable abilities that supersede that of human limitations.
Philadelphia[]
It's located almost 5 hours from Pittsburgh on the eastern side of the state, but only a few hours from Rosewood. The city was more prominent in the book series compared to the Tv series.
Millwood[]
Millwood is located miles away from Rosewood, but still within Pennsylvania borders. Given the dilapidated status and conditions of its infrastructure and surroundings, as well as the number of residents being blue-collar workers, Millwood is more economically disadvantaged than the wealthy Rosewood or state-of-the-art renowned Beacon Heights. The town became known for the tragic suicide of Angela Waters at the Y2K party and the "Millwood Massacre", in which several residents, including teenagers, were victims of an anonymous attacker known as "A", who killed nine people.
Pittsburgh[]
Pittsburgh is the second largest city after Philadelphia in the state. Its five hours away from Philly if you travel by car to get there. Pittsburgh was frequently mentioned in Original Sin season 1 given that Faran's mother lived and worked in the city. Millwood is only implied to be a few hours away from the city.
