I'm proud to be a Black filmmaker with a perspective that people like you will never have. But that's not why I got the call, Wes. I got the call because I'm good, my voice is unique, and I'm needed.

Christian Peele - (Cabby) Tabby met Christian on May 26th, 2023 at The Orpheum, when he arrived as a new projectionist. Many of his mannerisms, interests, and even demeanor triggered Tabby into remembering Chip, which made her initially wary of her new co-worker. With time, she realized that Christian wasn't Chip and they formed a friendship through their love of horror movies, filmmaking, bad movies, and spent much of their time debating film lore. He organized a screening of her short film Avenge at The Orpheum, which was important to her. She later told him the story was autobiographical, and he gave her the space she needed to talk about it, work through her emotions, and trust him in her own time. Their friendship blossomed into something romantic after a kiss at the Orpheum. He later helped Tabby and her friends get revenge on Redemption House.

The Little Liars[]

OS101 Imogen-Tabby Still

Imogen Adams - ("Tabogen") Tabby and Imogen have the strongest bond compared to the other Little Liars. They have known each other longer, having been pushed together after Davie's death, when Imogen moved into the Haworthe House. The two girls became very close, with Tabby serving as a much-needed support system for Imogen. As their relationship grows closer, they begin to confide in one another about their struggles - Imogen in her search for the truth about her mom, and Tabby with her struggles in film class. Tabby helps Imogen whenever she can. The girls become so closer that Tabby opens up about her harrowing sexual assault the night of a bonfire party, with Imogen being the first person she tells. Imogen also admits that she was sexually assaulted, though it takes her longer to tell Tabby the details. They support, comfort, and hold one another when they need it, and protect each other.

Faran Bryant (Taran)- Tabby and Faran became friends through the turmoils they faced at the hands of A. They also bonded over their experiences with racism, specifically at Millwood High School. When Faran decided to wear her natural hair in an effort to reclaim her identity, Tabby praised her friend and supported her decision.

Noa Olivar (Nabby) and Mouse Honrada (Taouse) - The girls first became acquainted with one another when forced into detention together. As mutual targets of A, the girls share a level of trust and a bond that is unbreakable. However, they do not hang out without the other girls.

Others[]

Chip Langsberry (Chabby)- Once considered Tabby's best friend, they spent hours together laughing, talking and debating movies, brainstorming ideas for horror films to shoot, watching films, and working endless hours at the Orpheum. They were outcasts together and Tabby considered him her "gay best friend without being gay", while he harbored a secret crush for her. She trusted him completely and was one of the few people she could count on. Tabby supported Chip's pursuit of her best friend Imogen Adams, vouching for him as a "good guy" when Imogen asked. Chip and Tabby's relationship was forever ruined when Tabby learned he had sexually assaulted both her and Imogen. She wanted Chip to pay for what he did and told A how Chip had hurt them, fully aware this would put Chip on A's list of targets. She wasn't surprised when Chip was murdered, but was disappointed she didn't to have her day in court against him. She used her trauma and anger to create the semi-autobiographical short film "Avenge", which incurred the wrath of Chip's mother, who believed they were liars.

Trivia[]

  • Tabby's character can be the equivalent of Aria Montgomery from Pretty Little Liars. Both are artistic girls who have a hobby in something literary, Tabby is a movie buff while Aria likes books and writing.
    • The relationship between Tabby and Wes can be parallel to that of Aria and Ezra Fitz relationship. However, Wes's storyline is shown in a more realistic light, with Tabby being uncomfortable by the advances Wes makes on her, as he's significantly older. This contradicts the romantic overtones of Ezra and Aria's relationship, despite Ezra also being significantly older than Aria. Both men also held the power dynamic in their relationships, as Wes is Tabby's boss and connection to NYU, while Ezra was once Aria's teacher.
  • Tabby's favorite clubbing movie is The Last Days of Disco. [2]
  • Her favorite dance movie is Suspiria.[3]
  • Her favorite Christmas movie is Gremlins.[4]
  • Her favorite Nightmare on Elm Street film is Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors.
  • Her favorite summer movies are Independence Day and the director's cut of Midsommar.
  • She has directed three short films: "La Femme Psycho", "Avenge" and "The Projectionist".
