The Reckoning was a live-streamed murder and attack in Millwood, Pennsylvania. The event was disguised as a film depicting the "ultimate final girl" losing to her menacing villains in a blood sacrifice. The events are also called the "Second Millwood Massacre" or the "Millwood Summer Murders".

It was directed by Wes and starred him, Susan Langsberry (as Bloody Rose), and Tabby Haworthe as the ultimate final girl. The event was posted on SpookySpaghetti.com.

History

Early Days

The true beginnings of The Reckoning started in the mind of Millwood resident and failed filmmaker Wes, who had an idea that the ultimate horror movie would be killing someone in real time and live-streaming the entire film for everyone to see. He attempted to recruit his employee Chip Langsberry, but the boy thought it was a joke. Chip was murdered on Christmas Eve 2022 by Archie Waters/A after being identified by Tabby Haworthe and Imogen Adams as their rapist. He was techincally a victim of the Millwood Massacre. Chip's mother Susan was heartbroken and didn't believe her son was a rapist. His employer Wes packed up Chip's belongings and brought them to Susan. He saw her grief and they bonded, eventually opening up to each other about their shared desires. Susan wanted to punish her son's accusers and Archie's survivors while Wes wanted to make his movie. Thus, began his creation of SpookySpaghetti.com, the lore of Bloody Rose Waters - a moniker Susan filled perfectly, and recruitment of lost souls to do his bidding.

Bloody Rose Sightings

SpookySpaghetti.com was instantly popular among teenagers and young adults in Millwood following the infamous massacre. The site was a hub for content regarding Archie Waters, A, Angela Waters, and Rose Waters. As the tale of the Waters family solidified itself in true crime culture, a darker tale regarding Archie and Angela's mother appeared. It claimed that Archie's mask was made from Rose's facial skin. The maiming, Angela's death, and Archie's arrest allegedly angered Rose, who became Bloody Rose Waters to avenge her children.

The Spookyspaghetti community led the charge as tales of Bloody Rose's conquests took the site by storm. They believed her to be the ultimate wronged woman whose "angelic" daughter was taken from the world too soon, her misunderstood or sometimes monstrous son a maimed serial killer, and Rose herself both a complicated villain and hero in her children's upbringing. Bloody Rose's alleged home, a shack in the woods, became a place of worship for visitors looking to praise her. The first two subjects to join her were Sabrina Hooper and Nick Brody, who "transcended" to become her children. In actuality, Bloody Rose murdered them after they found her shack. The rest of Bloody Rose's subjects longed to become her children and fill the void left by the losses of Angela and Archie. Meanwhile, Bloody Rose secretly took the lives of more Millwood residents, including Sandy Quinn and Pastor Malachi.

Friday the 13th

On Friday the 13th, the Spookyspaghetti community posts a group video of twelve teenagers who claim the reckoning is coming soon. In honor of Friday the 13th, Bloody Rose has delivered them a message. They must prove their devotion to Bloody Rose or risk her wrath on the night of blood atonement. The teenagers raise butcher knives to their foreheads and make slices across it. The cutting seems to be the first step in the Reckoning.

The Reckoning Is Now

Mouse digs into the Spookyspaghetti community and learns their motives are driven by Archie Waters being sentenced to death for his role in the Millwood Massacre. They believe that if he is killed there must be blood atonement. Hoping to stop the madness, Mouse creates a video posing as Angela Waters telling people to stop the violence. The community sees through her charade and identifies her. They're angry, know where she lives, and want her grandmother to be the first sacrifice in The Reckoning. She warns her friends that they are all in the crosshairs of The Reckoning, having been previously outed as survivors of the Millwood Massacre.

On June 20th, a prison right at the Ravenswood Penitentiary takes the lives of several inmates. Among the dead is believed to be Archie Waters. This sparks a series of memorials for Archie on Spookyspaghetti. While some mourn or celebrate the loss, others see it as a predestined sign to start The Reckoning. Someone posts a video teasing The Reckoning that depicts slaughters at the hands of Bloody Rose. She began her antics of The Reckoning by targeting mothers - she abducted the real Rose Waters along with Dr. Anne Sullivan. Meanwhile, she and her cohort planted the bodies of Sandy, Nick, and Sabrina in the Millwood Creamery freezer to trick Imogen into believing her boyfriend Johnny was working with Bloody Rose. They also planted the Davie Adams mask that Bloody Rose wore during Imogen's final girl test in the basement of Tabby's boyfriend, Christian.

The Spookyspaghetti community leapt into action to start a night of blood atonement against the survivors of the Millwood Massacre, while Bloody Rose and "A" kidnapped Tabby Haworthe to begin filming a real life horror movie.

Blood Atonement

Imogen Adams, Faran Bryant, Noa Olivar, and Mouse Honrada began the search for a missing Tabby Haworthe. Christian and the girl's yank open the door to the internet servers, which are full from the Spookyspaghetti servers. Taped to the front is a message: HOT IN HERE OR IS IT JUST ME? CHECK OUT MY MOVIE IN SCREENING ROOM THREE. Faran snips over looking for Dr. Seuss while Mouse deduces Bloody Rose must have known they would track down the source of SpookySpaghetti. She was counting on them finding it. They head to screening room three.

Christian and the girls rush into the theater, where Tabby's ordeal is projected onto the screen through a livestream on Spookyspaghetti. Imogen panics over her friend being in danger, demanding to know if this is a movie or already happened. Mouse points to the fast-growing numbers in the corner which are the number of people watching.

Bloody Rose tells Tabby to confess the truth about her son to confess her lies. Tabby questions the "son" and then realizes she doesn't mean Archie - it's Mrs. Langsberry behind the mask. The woman coldly asks who else it would be. Imogen screams to her friends about just being at Chip's mom's house. Tabby looks up at the A in front of her, knowing that can't be Archie. He unmasks himself as Wes, who is pleased with his charade. Christian calls Wes a piece of shit while Noa asks where Tabby is. Faran has been there before - it's Kelly's crazy ass church. They rush out of the room to get Tabby.

They run out of the Orpheum but are confronted by people in masks. One removes his mask and is the same kid who came into Mouse's shop with a computer. He demands blood for Bloody Rose and blood for her children. They attack but Christian and the girls close the doors just in time. While locking the doors, Mouse gives exposition to explain the Reckoning starting through proxies that are doing Bloody Rose's bidding. The proxies shatter the glass to unlock the doors. Christian ushers them to the screening room where they can lock themselves in.

They escape into the screening room as the proxies bang on the door. They aren't sure if the proxies are trying to kill them or stop them from getting to Tabby. Imogen wants to get to Tabby, so Christian tells them to use the exit door down front that leads to the alley. He'll hold the line while they get Tabby. They burst into the alley and fled on foot.

Imogen, Faran, Noa, and Mouse file onto the streets. The church is way too far to walk, so Noa says "fuck it" and runs to the cars parked on the street. She finds one that's unlocked and tells them to get in. She doesn't know how to hotwire a car so she calls Jen, who is back at the apartment. She needs her to walk her through how to do this. Jen is happy to do it. The proxies leave the Orpheum while looking for the girls. Mouse sees them from the back window and checks in with Noa on the progress. She's having trouble, but Jen reminds her she can do this and just needs on good spark. The proxies spot the girls and rush to the car as the girls scream. Noa manages to start the car and speeds off as the proxies shout and chase after them.

As the girls search for Tabby, Christian holds off the proxies at the theater while calling 9-1-1. The police arrive in time to save the boy and arrest the proxies.
