There was an episode where Aria dressed like the girl from the Great Gabsby. The writer of the book's last name is Fitzgerald (Ezra Fitz) and his wife, Zelda, was born in Montgomery, Alabama (Aria Montgomery.) Zelda Fitzgerald was a ballerina during a big portion of her life, as well as a writer. She was also bi-polar and believed to have a multiple personality disorder. We know there is history of mental problems in Aria's family. Also, there was another episode where she dressed as The Black Swan - the story of innocent white swan vs the evil black swan. And again, Zelda was a ballerina. Ezra is an English teacher, and writer, and Aria writes from time to time as well. Coincidence? I dont think so.
I actually think the writers are extremely brilliant to have done this and give such clues that come from the literary world. So, maybe Im wrong and just dont want to believe it, but Aria could very well be in on this, and part of her doesnt even know it!
On another note....there is a theory called The Black Swan theory.
Defined: The psychological biases that make people individually and collectively blind to uncertainty and unaware of the massive role of the rare event in historical affairs. This totally fits Aria's predicament. And honestly, Aria may not have a split personality yet...as it commonly happens as a result of a tramadic event.....aka....discovering Ezra is evil!!! And then of course realizing she had played a role in it from the beginning. What do you think??
